Speculating on the result of our match is one thing but speculation on the results of matches not involving us seems to be an occupation for those with too much spare time on their hands. If I was you, I'd go and do something useful and wait for the games to be over then you can speculate on what the results mean.

Going to go slightly off topic here.
Just listening to the phone in and they played his interview, I assume todays.
TM says if we win around half our games we are in play offs, fairly obvious and I agree.
However he thinks 85 should be enough for auto's.
So eleven more wins,is he being clever here where he knows that to be unlikely and keeping some pressure off, allowing for a few slip ups.

Of course we have interest in other games and other results. Only natural.

Walsall play Burton tomorrow, what are we supposed to do, pretend that game isn't happening?

We could be out of the top 6 tonight, so the Southend game is relevant and how they get on effects us.

Errm and once the games are over why would we speculate? Surely we would know what the results mean. You speculate over something before something happens, not after surely!

11 wins out of 15 is surely beyond us. That's a massive ask. I can see us winning a fair few, but it is so easy for a win to turn into a draw and we have drawn many times when we should have won. It's such a fine margin for error.

10 wins, 2 draws, 3 defeats would give 84 points. Or, 10 wins, 3 draws, 2 defeats. That WOULD give us 85. I can see either of those scenarios as being possible. I know it's only 1 win difference, but as I say, I'm sure we'll draw some and we have to equate for that.

Tough call. What we need now is 2 more wins on the bounce and see where we are after that. The picture might be a little clearer.

Four day turnaround for Southend.
I wouldn't like that if it had been us, fatigue must play a part.

Nope. Not fearing Port Vale at all. After tonight they will be 4 points behind and we will have 3 games in hand! Not worried about them at all!

Yep and that's why maybe 3 or 4 nil predictions might be a tad ambitious.

I think it will be tight and I will be over the moon if it finishes 1-0 in a scrappy game.

No, what I meant was 1-0 in the 90th minute. I'm not talking about the 6 goals we'll get in injury time.

Since we last played a fortnight ago virtually every result has gone our way. Perhaps the footballing Gods will once more look down and smile on us

Not really. 4-0 is just as reasonable as 2-1 right now. If we knew score we would be millionaires

Otis just admit I have been right about everything so far re southend catching us and Burton possibly falling from top spot

Make my friday for me!!!!

I've got 25p on Fleetwood winning 2-1. So I'll either get to enjoy a beer while watching the Goals roundup or a free bag of chips for supper

Yes, 2 points per game for them to the end of the season would only give them 72 points, may not enough for playoffs even if they could achieve it. Puts it into perspective. 3 games in hand at this stage is a massive advantage.

The league will sort itself out position wise

We are in a false position as we should be top 2 as its false to the teams above us apart from Wigan

It will pan out , wait and see as every week now will form the true standings
