lol.... what!

That thread on KP closed!

There was a valid point there. The point being Thorn will not even get a whiskers in to chat to ANY player this summer let alone sign them.

our first signing last season was Chris Dunn on June the 29th...

let's see if we can sign someone before then...

well, the biggest news in weeks has come out today in that there will be no money for players next seaosn and unless the council play ball, we may not have a club,

and that thread was moved to "finances", so a Kevin Philips thread didnt stand a chance !

I suggest you start one about Andy Thorn, they seem to get through !

Scary though.... other clubs are signing pre-contract agreements in our new league and getting on with it...

I saw that and it reminded me of Thorn's chase for him last summer as the franchise player.

there was irony in me previous thread

yer, and the mods on here dismissed it as quickly as SISU dismissed the idea of getting Philips last year.

i met Kevin Philips at a golf event before he signed for Blackpool and said to him that he should sign for CCFC his response: "It would be spot on for me mate, living in Litchfield Cov would be ideal, who knows"

Just a shame he doesnt fit in with sisu plans, for example he scores goals, wins games, would want paying etc....

So we're not signing KP.

Debating whether to wise-crack about peanuts (SISU are nuts for not signing him.)
or about cricket (KP will be too busy making swift 30s and 40s for England before giving away his wicket to a slow left-armer)

Such decisions.

Glad it's not just me. After all the IPL I've watched, I thought we were signing Kieron Pollard...it's all very well, but the man is a short-format specialist. I can't see him lasting for 90 minutes.
