He was commenting on Sunderlands game tonight. He was possibly the worst purchase in all my time following Cov, worst of all so many fans knew he would be bad. Can't believe Radio 5 think that his opinions are worth broadcasting

Surely he wont give any analysis of the strikers, perhaps they need him to hold up an aerial or something

It was paying utter dross the likes of KK, 6 or 8k a week or whatever it was, leading to our owners saying enough is enough !

my mate met him down the Skydome and he was moaning about the lack of drinking culture at the club!

What a dedicated athlete!

As much as he was a poor player I disrespect any fan singlely booing a player.

The whole team after a poor first/second half yes. But singling out a player is not on in my opinion.

04/05 season he played for Sunderland against us on the opening day and I remeber thinking what a donkey as all he seem to do was launch himself aimlessly towards the ball. A poor player.

that last minute winner at QPR. Made me miss the last train home and I was late for school the following day. Forever a hero of mine

Didn't he get more red cards than goals one season?

Up there with Freddie Eastwood as a waste of space.

Not a good player for us but not as bad as people seem to make out he was. We've had far far worse.

Eastwood remains our worst modern signing for me. £1.2M for 17 goals. Imagine the amount of quality players we could bring in now for that much with a competent manager in charge.

Perhaps he should not have made the gesture he did towards the fans it might not have been as vociferous as it was.

Who was worse, him or Platt?

Platt was a freebie on a lot lower wages and didn't get sent off.

The purported £8-9K a week did for him.
He was excellent in the air.
I lost faith in him when the PR started, to support him got a bit ridiculous about him being in tears etc.
But the abuse was awful and he never really stood a chance due to who he replaced and that salary, which dispels for me some of the suggested salary levels currently attributed to certain players.
