can anyone settle an argument as to wether gallacher scored against newcastle for cov in the old div 1,if so can you name the date and comp?cheers

I know he scored againt us for Newcastle, Shearer also scored which was his 200th League goal at the time too.

No he didn't. Newcastle weren't in the top flight during his stay at Cov. Didn't play them in the cups either.

ok cheers for the replies,there were some good players in that cov line-up from '00 by the way, seems a lifetime away from where we are now.

The only goal he ever scored against Newcastle was for Blackburn in a 2 - 1 defeat.
