Not sure if anyone caught the bit on CWR last night saying that our reserves were taking in Kettering town tonight for charity, but either way, at half time it appears we are losing!!

Surprised the club had agreed it to this tbh, I am going to assume it is pretty much the academy side out playing?

Well, if there's a place where our defence should be welcome it's a charity event.

There was a reserve game cancelled last week due to bad weather so this is taking its place

Apparently another team pulled out of the game, which is to raise money to stop Ketting folding and we stepped in late on. We said we would send a reserve team. Hussey is playing apparently.

I've only seen it from twitter updates, and only noticeable names were Hussey and Jeffers.

Says a lot when we can only get a 1-1 draw aainst Kettering when we have 16 players on the pitch

Wouldnt read anything into Carsley being on the bench. Leon Mckenzie played for Kettering last night and he retired in the summer as well.

It apparently raised £6000 in the end. The gate of 525 was'nt good enough in my eyes, the Kettering supporters had a chance to raise a lot more than this, their gates are normally around the 1100 mark in the conference, so where were the others.
I'm proud my club came in last minute to honour the fund raising match, especially as we are'nt exactly minted and probably could do with our own fundraiser, so well done Cov for doing that.
The money is going to pay some staff and players who have'nt been paid since Christmas

Not enough credit is being given to Cov for stepping in at very short notice to ensure that this charity event went ahead - Peterborough pulled out as they couldn't put out enough players yet we managed it. It raised best part of £6k for a fellow cash strapped club and shows that not everything in football is always about selfishness and greed. Anyone know if Hussey managed 90 mins?
