Seems that Baker has the nod to replace Gunnar and ROD to replace Eastwood/King at the moment.

Interesting that Christie has played in all the "first team" parts of the friendlies while players like Wood, McPake and Cameron have played with the reserves. He seems to have jumped ahead of Clarke and Keogh ahead of those mentioned as a CB.

When he's fully fit Deegan will replace Gunnar.

I think Clarke is injured but he will be first choice when match fit.

Nit too exciting at the moment (hence me posting mid match). Even the songs are slow at starting. Few trying to get songs on the go, but didnt catch on til twist and shout. Now its just random stuff being shouted. Like you'd hear from an old pissed up man sittin in the corner of the social club

Yeah he got changed and was warming up first half.

Lack of urgency from Cov first half. So far Sammy has stood out and Cranie has won everything on the air.

Is Deegan injured again? I missed that...

I thought Thomas or Bigirimana might be given a go in that role, would be nice to see one of them given a go ahead of Baker IMO.

Lack of Turner and Deegan again is a worry (less so Platt!). Both needed a full pre-season to even be in contention for the Leicester games. Now they'll be playing catch-up during the season in our non-existent reserve side.

As for Christie-he's been involved so much partly due to impressing AT, but mainly due to Clarke being injured. He's played mainly at RB, and at times LB when Hussey goes off. I'd still make Cyrus around 5th-7th choice at CB, but he looks like 1st reserve for either full-back position (where we are a bit bare if Keogh is now 1st choice CB, as it does seem). Christie certainly hasn't jumped ahead of Keogh-Keogh has started every game at CB.

Hahaha, I was sat at the front on the right and I kept looking over to my left and could hear what sounded exactly how you described ! I did have a nice chuckle then when we sung to Joe Elliot " super Joe " and when they thought they'd scored but the ref blew for a free kick !!

Nothing much of note, except the chants of "There's only one Joe Elliott" pre match, yes JE was there again in the crowd with us plebs.

A few remarks...
Hussey has been very consistent pre-season.
Christie looked a little less good today.
Bell has been one of the best performers pre-season & Clingan handles his role well.
Glad Sheffs got that goal, he has been poor in pre-season so far, but then he was similar last year, guess he needs a few games to get going.
Murphy looking better, reasonably solid, had to beat a Kettering player to clear once from outside area when the ball bounced between the defence & goal, our defence off the pace on that one!
Roy O'D looked less sharp this time, not sure if Juke got a chance even, most of his work was done holding ball up on wing, Freddy got a few half chances.
