<br />"It's hard to know where to start really. As I am sure you all know, I am moving on and it's been one of the toughest decisions of my life.<br />
<br />
"I've loved my time here at Coventry City apart from, obviously, the fact that we got relegated last season which was horrible for everyone involved with the club.<br />
<br />
"But even the day we went down will live long in my memory as the reception I received from the supporters as I left the pitch was unbelievable and is something I won't forget.<br />
<br />
"I think that day and the way I've been treated by the fans ever since I arrived is what has made it such a tough decision to leave.<br />
<br />
"I've made loads of friends here and the club have been absolutely brilliant with me and have made it really clear that they want me to stay. They've offered me a new deal and I move on knowing that Coventry City did everything they could to keep me here.<br />
<br />
"We've been talking pretty much since the end of the season and I've been overwhelmed really and it's made it a very difficult decision.<br />
<br />
"It didn't come down to money - I think everyone who knows me understands that I am not motivated by money. I just felt that at this time in my career I wanted to play at the highest level of football I can. <br />
<br />
"Even though it's been a difficult decision, I just felt that this was an opportunity that I couldn't turn down and I hope that all the fans understand that.<br />
<br />
"As for next season, I think the gaffer is putting together a really good squad that will be more than capable of challenging for promotion and, having played alongside some of the new boys in training, it could be an exciting season ahead.<br />
<br />
"I do genuinely hope that Coventry get their rightful place back in the Championship next season and that one day they can be a Premier League team all over again."
If he thinks we can get back them why does he not honour his contract and move up with us? Derby will be no more than mid-table mediocrity. Doesn't make sense to me.
Cold? .

Embarrasing or not it needs to be said. This guy but his body on the line for us week in week out and it is therefore only right that we should have the opportunaty of thanking him for his efforts.Sorry, but this is pathetic. He's gone, it was inevitable, this personal goodbye stuff is embarrassing.
Good to hear that he was offered a contract and we did everything we could to keep him. Should button up the "SISU made us sell him" crowd.

Why can't some people see it as a geniune thankyou from someone who gave absolutely everything he had in every game, he gave more in one game than the likes of Bell and Baker have done in a season, combined. All he is saying is thanks for the support and good luck next season and i look at that as a class gesture from a true gent.
Why are there snide immature comments on this thread about Keogh, he deserves a lot more respect than that
