Having just got back from A & E with a broken collarbone, my usually lightening fast typing skills are set to suffer over the next few weeks. Can I take this moment to implore the pro-Thorn, Anti-SISU lobby to fill the gap in place of my polemics? One-handed typing really sucks, even with this much cocoldomal (sp?) coursing thru my veins!

In case anyone wonders how it happened, I was hurled head-first down the stairs by the bouncers at The Assembly in Leamington: I'm not sure why; I was relatively sober and on my way to the cloakroom en route to the exit. All I can conclude is thst the goon who didn't like me must also work at The Ricoh, and must have remembered me from protesting. As such, I am blaming SISU for the excruciating agony I now find myself in, both physical as well as mental now! Keep the good fight going, boys.

And if you all fancy adding The Assembly to the boycott...well that'd be just swell.

Love the assembly, it's a cracking venue and not experienced any probs in there. I did break my collarbone when I was little though when I was walking my dog and she went one side of a tree and i went the other. A few seconds later the dog bolted lifting me off my feet and wrapping me around a tree. Was only little but remember it being a very uncomfortable experience.

Sorry about your accident mate, if you have witnesses then I would definitely claim.

Let us know how it all pans out.

did you tell the bouncer how Thorn was the man to keep us up

Ta for all the support, lads. I'm always moaning that Thorn has one arm tied behind his back; I kinda know how that feels now! It's my right arm too, so I'm really buggered; brushing teeth and tying laces is hard work!

Bamalama-agreed, never had any trouble there before. I can only think that it was the busiest night of the year, and they weren't coping very well. The most annoying thing is that I was reasonably sober and really didn't do anything to provoke that. Maybe it was mistaken identity? They seemed to think I was real trouble, and wouldn't even let me have my coat from the cloakroom.

The police said that the problem with CCTV is that they'll probably have wiped anything incriminating. I'm back at the cop-shop again later to give my statement; they certainly think they have a case to answer. Here's hoping.

Hope you are better soon. Worked the doors with some right pr1cks in the past. Some do it just for the power trip. Pr1cks like him need to lose their licence. They are supposed to protect the public, not assault them.

Jesus! I hope you're OK.

I promise I will boycott the Assembly after I've seen the Pink Floyd tribute band in the New Year. Honest.

Sorry to hear of your situation NLHWC and hope that you recover soon. CCFC need as many fans as they can get right now! Have not lived in Cov. for a lot of years now so don't know the venue BUT would definately boycott it if I did.
