The trust only kicked into action when it was pointed out they weren't doing anything! They bitched and moaned, and insulted, but couldn't come up with evidence that they had done anything.

It took the harsh light of reality before they did anything - there first real action - 4 people at an office! It is so laughable that people look to the trust for action, when all they are doing now is trying to raise money so that they can qualify for continued membership of supporters direct (need a turnover of £10k to qualify after year 1).

They stated quite clearly in the telegraph that some of the money they raised wqould go to charity, but they knew (and indeed stated on ebay) that this was a lie, but it looks good and fools people into believing they are helping a worthy cause raather than these self serving scumbags.

Now there it has been stated there is a clear opportunity to place an ad in the paper, they have a fighting fund which they stated at the beginning was for this kind of event. And guess what - they are huimming and ahhing. Can't spend money need to build up the bank balance (despite it being not-for profit).

These people have lied and weaseled from day one. The have a constitution they play lip service too (no chance of them ever behaving according to their own rules). Had sisu done what these scum had done, there would be outrage (how dare sisu claim to give money to charity when it all goes to them). But because they claim to support the club, this all gets airbrushed out of history.

They ignore their membership (as the admin has eluded to time and again), they ignore their memberships views. All in all they are a shambles. It is run by 2 or 3 morons who cannot even organise a piss up in a brewqery (literally) yet they expecgt no demand ownership of the club for free.

They constantly site swansea/pompey, but have singularly failed to do what they have done - acquire funds! Now their biggest brainwave wristbands @ £1.75 (they lied about being £1 - check out eBay £1 + 75p packaging - doesn't cost 75p packaging therefore in breach of eBay rules on overcharging for postage btw).

Defend these scum if you want, but had they never been criticised, it is quite possible they would never have done anything!

Do not forget they sat in meetings with sisu for over a year and got nothing changed. These people are inept, incompetent, and morally bankrupt. They shame the club and the city of coventry by daring to use the term trust - when quite clearlythey untrustworthy self serving tossers.

Just because they cannot stand the truth coming out, does not mean it isn't the truth!

Don;t think any reasonable person could be against that.

Who'd you have pick up the bill, though?

Seems to me that the guardians of the game The FA have been sleepwalking through this and who are doing bugger all at the moment should make a major contribution to costs, say 75%-85%. That should be their only contribution however (they're no suitable for the investigation) and I don't know who should be responsible for the remaining balance, maybe say ACL and Sisu split it.

I agree that the keep cov in cov campaign should get lots behind it and it is shown by the March. If it was kept to "Keep Cov in Cov" without the SISU / ACL politics then I think it would do a lot better as the March proved.

I think if there were more balanced things like the marches which aren't aimed at SISU, ACL etc then who can complain?

Good reply below from tramp batter.

......'...............

Similarly, this morning I’ve had an email from the “Not One Penny More” (NOPM) campaign and I attach below my response and the correspondence in full. You’ll remember weeks ago I similarly wrote to The Trust expressing concerns about their communications and their endorsement and adoption of NOPM. I didn’t get a reply to my mail. I hope for better this time. I’ll keep you posted.

All comments most welcome.

To: Michael Orton, Keep Cov in Cov- nopm Campaign Coordinator, Sky Blue Trust Board Member

Thank you for the Mail. Please keep them coming, it’s good to have updates on progress.

Although I wholeheartedly believe in the cause and want to see Coventry City playing back in Coventry, I disagree with the “Not One Penny More” campaign and would like to explain in the hope that you may understand that I do not believe it supports the achievement of Trust constitutional objectives or the best interests of supporters of The Club.

Quite simply, I don’t believe it will work and it is dividing supporters. I myself have been called a “wanker” a “scab” and a “hypocrite” for going to watch my Club play at Sixfields.

I’m told that by doing so my words don’t match my actions, that despite what I say I’m not actually “doing” anything to resolve the situation and bring CCFC back to Coventry. Well I contend that neither is anyone supporting “Not One Penny More”, and to suggest otherwise is simply incorrect.

Much of my blog writing has articulated a desire to support the cause of fans who want to see a successful well run CCFC playing in Coventry. I didn’t think anyone would doubt my commitment to the cause of The Club returning to Coventry, but contradicting the NOPM campaign apparently makes me an enemy of the cause.

My own personal efforts to support KCIC, suggesting the “Tie a Sky Blue Ribbon” campaign has helped raised the profile of the campaign, and brought some unity and comfort to fans that they can at least “do something” to demonstrate desire and support.

I know that just like NOPM all of these ‘stunts’ are ultimately merely gestures to display unity, solidarity and purpose, giving dismayed fans something to do, but the NOPM gesture is different. Not only is it divisive, but it gives a false hope that it may affect The Club in such a way as to bring them back to Coventry. I fear it may in fact even do the opposite, strengthening the resolve of The Club to stay away from any dialogue that may prompt a return to The Ricoh Arena.

Giving such false hope is either stupid and naive or self servingly ego massagingly cynical. I am inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to you and accept the former is probably the case.

Just at a time when we need leadership from The Trust to try and bring parties together (because quite frankly, they won’t do it on their own), The Trust has abandoned any attempt or pretence of maintaining a dialogue with The Club. Encouraging a campaign of economic sanction is as good as an open declaration of hostility. I’m not saying The Trust should encourage or discourage fans to go to Sixfields, simply that by adopting NOPM as a tactic they have foolishly undermined their ability to conduct a credible dialogue with The Club, or represent an arbitrating presence in this whole sorry mess.

Please consider your prime objective – in what circumstances can we bring Our Club back to playing in Coventry as soon as possible? Think deeply about this, and realise that NOPM is not the solution that brings The Club back to The Ricoh. The Trust should be supporting the best ways to do this in the name and interests of all Coventry City and City of Coventry Supporters.

Regards,

Shaun

A dialogue with the club? Sisu? It'll be a tad one way. They don't do dialogue Shaun.

Good reply, except his main objective is to get rid of sisu, not get Coventry back in Coventry.
If it was, he'd be banging the door of the council house down demanding the club is given a similar deal to Doncaster or Hull. Instead of the opposite, trying to make the arena viable without the football club.

I'll be honest I only read the first couple of paragraphs and scanned the rest. We've been members of Supporters Direct for a few years so why are you mentioning 10k after the first year?

Despite being told we don't have to make a charitable donation we are still going to.

When have we ever said we want a stake in the club for no outlay? We've actually made enquiries into how much it would be to buy shares for... money.

When have me or people I now consider personal friends lied to you or anyone else? I think that should be cleared up tbh.

Sorry, I'll get my pitch fork and shout sisu out and foam at the mouth if it makes you feel better?

should I be biased? Should I scream sisu out and call Tim Fisher immature names just so that I fit in, or should I start abusing the council?

If I was biased I'd be sending emails to all sbt members saying don't go to our go to games surely???

Nothing much, does put the innocent until proven guilty to one side but if we're assuming that all sides carry some blame then that counters it pretty well.
