Surely not.. who would stoop so low as to get on a KCIC bus.. and then put money in SISU's pocket?

Fare will be £5 return and under 16s free. Departure point will be in cov and at reasonable time for reaching Jimmy's Hill in time for kick off but I don't want people turning up on spec and not having enough places plus need to clarify couple of points with northants police. So if people email me at keepcovincov@gmail.com to reserve places I will then email out confirmed arrangements tues/wed.

I'll be there, will make my own way though. Want to support the team and be part of the matchday but don't want to give sisu any money. I want my club back and I want sisu to know that I am not just going to go away. Non attendance is just a poorly supported club, large away support and attendance/protest outside home games shows that we do have a fanbase and we are passionate about our club.

like all the efforts to substantiate our plight,
i'd love to see a renewed & sustained effort of the sky blue ribbons everywhere,
it both provokes thought & reason,

Getting back on track...does anyone on here actually want a ticket for Sky Blue bus to Picnic on Jimmy's Hill 8 Sept which will draw national attention to what's happening to CCFC and promote the kcic message plus the 'acl-fl-sisu: it's time to talk' theme?

My formative years as a City fan were spent walking to and from hr from pool meadow and standing on the kop - getting soaking wet, freezing cold and only being able to see bits of the game were all big parts of it. So anyone put off by the potential Jimmy's Hill experience ain't getting any sympathy from me!

Why do we keep calling it Jimmy' Hill?

The thing about jimmys hill is that it is giving a place by the Northampton ground an affectionate name to do with the history of coventry city...

Nice one, CV3. I've been liaising with Northants Police about trying to have the car park on top of Jimmy's Hill opposite the sixfields pub for kcic and 'reserve' the top of the hill around from the car park for the Picnic event. Hopefully will be able to confirm later today/tomorrow at the latest

I find it a bit ironic how we dont want to be in northampton yet have named a hill that overlooks the pitch after our most iconic figure.

In fact I think. We should meet on Jimmy's Hill the make our way down Sky Blues Walk to protest outside the John Sillett Stand.

Only just spotted this point and like other posters I can't for a minute imagine anyone would do it - it would be a very sad individual indeed who would to try to disrupt a Family Friendly Picnic on Jimmy's Hill!

I know it would be taking the piss a little bit but you did say:

To be dead clear, this is absolutely NOT about dissuading people from going inside sixfields or any confrontation of any kind.

So if somebody just got on the bus, got off and walked into the ground without causing trouble then what's the problem?

No problem as long as you don't mind a long walk home if that is what you are planning Nick.

I wouldn't as I'll probably just drive so I'm not waiting about.

It says there will be no hostility to people and it isn't a NOPM thing but just wanted to see the reaction, as I have said it would be taking the piss a bit.

What about if they're a member of the Trust? It's a kcic event, not a nopm, so why would it be a problem?

why don't KCIC hire the 1987 open top bus from the museam and travel down on that, that would hit the headlines

Presently cannot get an MOT, it was suggested it was used as a stage on the protest march but its not road worthy.

Somebody has posted on gmk that a wall is being erected so you can't see into the ground from the hill, not sure how true it is though...

It would have to be a bloody big wall, and not sure CCFC can afford the bricks, let alone the labour

They cannot erect a fence it's a public walkway, also been told by police they would rather these fans were on the hill than down by ground. So what's been said is not true.

I was only posting what they said, I hadn't personally seen it. Apparently it was done for a cup tie? Again, no idea if true.

didn't they draw a top prem side and the police advised fencing it off on safety grounds? unless they think thousands are going to show up I don't think there'll be a problem given the police have already said they have no issue with it. don't think SISU would have the authority to demand a fence be put up.

Onlu ever been fenced off once since the stadium opened - against Man Utd in FA cup about 10 years ago.
