kcic is getting attention like never before so for new visitors to this site here are a few key facts/FAQs.

What is 'Keep Cov in Cov'? Keep Cov in Cov (kcic) is a campaign whose core message is Coventry City FC belongs in Coventry at the Ricoh Arena and seeks to achieve that.

What is 'Not One Penny More'? Not One Penny More (nopm) means not giving a penny more to the current CCFC owners and in practice is boycotting sixfields and not buying merchandise.

Are kcic and nopm separate? No. kcic uses a number of tactics in its campaign and nopm is one of them.

How did kcic and nopm start? nopm came first. nopm was started by Jim Smits, who created this facebook page and twitter account. As the facebook page grew Jim could no longer manage it so asked the Sky Blue Trust to take over and they agreed. The Trust decided the campaign should be run at arms length. When the move to Northampton started to be aired seriously, kcic became a slogan expressing opposition to the move and then became the campaign itself with nopm as one of the tactics used by kcic.

So why are the facebook page and twitter account called nopm not kcic? Facebook only allows a page name to be changed if it has less than 200 Likes. The facebook page name could not be changed from nopm to kcic because it had over 200 Likes.

So who runs kcic? Michael Orton. He was the Sky Blue Trust Membership Secretary. He is still a Trust Board member (but not Membership Sec) but in reality dedicates his available time solely to kcic and does not speak on behalf of the Trust whatsoever.

Is there a kcic committee or team of organisers? No. The campaign has operated by issues and ideas being raised here and then actions proposed. kcic works by what is literally hundreds of City fans (maybe even thousands now) in a hundred and one different ways doing whatever they can to help get the kcic message heard - designing a graphic, contacting their MP, giving IT advice, joining a protest event, suggesting ideas or leading on something particular e.g. as Kev Kelly is doing for sixfields on 13 Oct.

Is kcic a peaceful campaign that operates within the law, or not? kcic is 100% peaceful. The kcic view is that if any disorder occurred it would only damage the campaign, not help it. Just look what happened at the end of the Brentford game - hundreds of City fans with very different views of the current situation were again at sixfields and as in previous weeks acted impeccably. But a handful abused each other at the end of the game and that became the story completely drowning out the kcic message.

How can people get involved in kcic? Visit this facebook page, sign up for regular kcic updates by emailing keepcovincov@gmail - then have your say!
