So let's go to NTFC pretend we can get promotion, pretend we can bring in decent players, pretend TF you will be back is going to happen and pretend the club is not dying in front of your very eyes.... I would prefer to pressure Sisu and the FL to give reasons for rejection of any deal that could bring the parties back for talks. You and all others that put doubt in any possible way forward may want to look ahead because with a sisu owned club at NTFC next season is the worst outcome and even TF, ML and JS know this.......Your club is dying and you are keen to pick holes in change,, if you spent more time picking holes in the owners tenure you may see the true problem....

Couldn't agree more chipfat. Some people seem to want us to stay at sixfields. Look at the poll on the ct website. 16% don't think sisu should accept the offer. Ironically the same % of what attend sixfields.

Surely it's up to Sisu to get their top man involved in getting into the detail of this deal?
Personally if I was them I would try and kill this dead by getting their propaganda machine on the case?

Oh hold on ................

If the deal is killed dead by somebody on a forum asking a few questions about some details of it then it can't have much about it can it?

I don't see it being accepted as it doesn't seem - on the face of it - a very good offer. Why not say any crowd under 15K a match is free, over that then the Club has to pay.

Kingokings204 said:
Anyway back to the football offer.

I don't see it being accepted unfortunately. Joy wants the land and the Ricoh. Anyone who thinks she cares about fans is crazy deluded.

It's for this reason I don't see why you would go to sixfields. Not so much supporting the lads as we all want to but more that the football club doesn't give a toss for you. It is mugging you off but they don't see it.

Whereas how many want it to be accepted without knowing anything about the actual offer?

If that is right then its f*****g disgraceful, regardless of the pro's and con's, if SISU do accept then we return to the Ricoh therefore 16% are saying they do not want to return to the Ricoh, what is wrong with our fanbase. I dont normally moan at those that do go but I really hope they have a season of watching a piss poor team, with piss poor owners watching at a piss poor ground with piss poor support because they really truly deserve it if thats the case.

..... and how can that rent be imposed on a 3rd party if they haven't been involved in it?

Who is culpable if the rent isn't paid?

Will KCIC put money into an escrow?

How does the attendance work? Is it game by game or is it based on the average at the end of the season? Is the rent cost for attendances over 5k flat or on a sliding scale? If the club averaged 5001 over the season would it be expected to pay the same as 15k?

Sorry but it sounds like a gimmick to me.

Not sure if any of that is particularly relevant. Any deal which involves money flowing to ACL whoever and however it is paid, will not be acceptable to SISU. They haven't spent tens/hundreds of thousand of pounds on lawyers/barristers to meekly agree a rental deal, no matter how cheap it is for them.

I hear what your saying and I completely share your frustration. It's no wonder Cov have fallen down so far. It's true check the CT website 16% don't want to be back at the Ricoh apparently. It's people like Nick who want to know more about the deal before deciding whether to come back to Coventry. What??????

It just doesn't wash for me. I don't care what the frig the deal is, it involves Coventry back home. Just letting you know that.

Please, we do know the offer, its just very clever in the way its put, if crowds are above 5k then Sisu pay, correct, because we all know that above 5k they make more money then they would at Northampton even with paying the rental but we all know that this isnt about the money, its personal between two parties.

Like many have said, make it completely free and I bet they still turn it down and thats what I hope can be highlighted to right people i.e. the football league etc

That's a given though isn't it? SISU aren't going to publicly reject for that stated reason but might for some of the others. If you address those other areas first then you give less reason for rejection.

Of course I want to know more about the deal, what if it means us paying 100 million a year or something like that. (Not saying it will)

Do you guys often buy things and sign contracts without knowing the full details?

I am pretty sure the poll doesn't say "Do you want us back at the Ricoh, Yes or No" does it? It is amazing how things get twisted.

Pretty much sums it up. Find out the reasons / excuses they have given in the past and then just make sure you cover them so they can't use them

SISU winner all hands down!

If the JR ruling goes for them then they say yes we will accept your kind off to pay all our matchday rent & cost for 3 years
so any monies we make from up to 5K tickets sold we keep and anything over and above we pay you up to point of a break evena gainst what you pay and over that point we keep the rest. so a typical Paint Pot trophy semi final match of 30k would see them laughing all the way to the bank

If the Ruling goes against them they they say "yes we will accept your kind off to pay all our matchday rent & cost for 3 years" whilst we sort out another ground.

however i dont think the offer would work like that somehow! as i said CET publish the whole offer and not what you want to expose as a dramatic punch line so that you say they dont it even if its free.

Do we know how much it will be after the 5k? What about the pie money that SISU used an excuse, cover that also.

At least if KCIC come out with all of the excuses SISU used in the past and have each one covered (pie money, matchday fees)

Like when I asked what would they have to pay if they get a 15,000 crowd and was shot down.

Why didn't Kcic approach the club privately? Ask about the terms on which they would consider a return. Not make a public offer that looks good on the face of it but could never be accepted not even in principle.

They wrote a letter.. no response was received within 48hrs, there was no ultimatum to accept in that time frame, only a request to reply in principle.
If a response saying lets talk a bit more about this in private had been received then some progress could have been made & discussions started.

In other words it was not a public offer, it was a private offer that was ignored, it wasn't till after it was ignored that it was made public.

So if Sisu turn offers down we should be skeptical of all offers ?

We should be sceptical of all offers. After all we've got a great track record, haven't we?!

People will be skeptical about different things, I personally am about this and all of the other offers like this we have had. I wonder how the people saying we should back that bloke from the US and his great crowd funding idea were when they saw him launch his website.....

However if Michael comes on and blows us all out of the water with a detailed explanation / business plan so we can see what the club would need to pay if say we got 15k, 20k, 25k at a game and the rental stuff and basically the small print of this deal things would be less skeptical. (not that I am expecting Michael to prove anything to me but it would change a few "doubters" opinions wouldn't it?)

People need to be skeptical with some things don't they? By the looks of it people on here would sign up to contracts without even knowing how much they cost.

Can any one of the usual suspects tell me why they have stood together in herd mentality to poor cold water on this idea ?
Do you not want to city to play at the Ricoh ?
Why do you want to know the "ins and outs of the deal "? Have SISU not got their own people to do that?
Lets get it looked at at and hear the response!

Who has said they dont want to play at the Ricoh and who has poured cold water on it? People want to know the ins and outs of the deal to know whether they should back it or not.

I would be the first to say how great it was if I actually knew anything about it.

I'm not sure that is going to be particularly difficult for them. There have been 'deals' offered before, which they have been able to reject with relative ease. If your not really interested in a deal, it is usually not that difficult to find reasons/excuses why you can't go ahead. They have been able to spin the new stadium for well over a year, without too much trouble.

Funny how people on here analyse every single word of the JR and the Higgs case as they want to know the ins and outs of any offers. However, it seems that the KCiC offer cannot and shall not be scrutinized. Why?

To be fair, what matters now is sisu's response to kcic. Simon Gilbert has reported that Tim Fisher says there are no plans to respond this afternoon so we'll just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings. Apols if this has already been posted but Andy Turner has posted a relevant article at http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/news-opinion/coventry-city-ricoh-arena-rent-7299973

Nick, you know the deal, we all do. Read the letter and it's outlined?

Personally I don't care what the deal is it's Coventry back in Coventry and I get to watch my team again. Please give me that.

We know above all the offer even if we don't know all 1000 details you request Nick it's not going to rip the club off is it? Or god forbid sisu. We know this isn't the case so why do you need to analyze a fart to make sure this isn't the case.

I do agree we should know details but we know enough. Sisu won't accept as I'm sure you agree they want the Ricoh and land for very cheap. We all know this. It's very clear.

Yes, so the poll is should they accept THIS deal and some people said no. It doesn't say "Do you want us in Coventry or not?" to which I can fully understand why people would say no.

We know nothing about this deal though do we?

Maybe the lack of people being cautious and skeptical about this sort of thing got us in this mess in the first place.

I couldn't give a shit if SISU had to pay 10 million gazillion in fines to HMRC as long as it didn't affect the club.

How do we know it isn't going to the rip the club off? How do we know it won't take us full circle to the situation just before we left? This is why I am asking the questions rather than just assuming things, if Michael then replies with some more details then of course I will join you on saying this is a great deal

It isn't hard to understand is it that people can't say something is an amazing deal without knowing the facts about it? Are people really that naive?

Exactly, match day costs should be cleared up as to what is what so the club don't have to pay silly money for a cleaner per hour. It is a piece of piss to say I will offer free rent if I can just hide that money in matchday costs anyway.

But it wouldn't make any difference. Even they had laid out a 100 page submission, with caveats, sub clauses the works, details of different types of revenue streams, and cost structures, SISU will always find ways of questioning, prevaricating and spinning. Its the one thing they do better than anybody else. I seriously doubt if TF/ML will have sleepless nights about any negative reaction that subsequently comes their way.

Like when SISU took over? Of course people need to be skeptical and cautious and if Michael reveals some more information then I think the "SISU Lovers" would more than likely also be on board rather than just blindly following it because it is KCIC
