Reminder that kcic will be nagging away with an event at the Football League office London W1U 8FL this coming Wednesday, 11 Sept, 4pm-6pm with drink afterwards in The Union bar just around the corner from the FL (all welcome even if you can't make the protest part of the day!).

Could really do with help with a couple of practical things so if you're able to make it on Wednesday please email me at keepcovincov@gmail.com. Thanks!

Any chance of a FL event that's not during work hours? Would love to go but will never be able to makes Wednesday. Do they work Saturdays? You'd assume so as its their busiest day.

Shmmeee, once the weather worsens and the clocks change late afternoon weekdays outside FL and sisu ain't going to be much fun so a Saturday late Oct/early Nov would be a good option. Any ideas for a theme/what it could be tied to?

Press release for kcic @ FL tomoz

Greg Clarke scores zero in CCFC 'Mastermind Special'! 11.9.13

Under pressure Football League Chairman, Greg Clarke - already facing a Parliamentary motion saying the League is not fit to run the national game - will have another challenge when angry fans stage a mock Mastermind episode outside the Football League office, London W1U 8FL, Wednesday 11 September 4.30-6pm.

With questions being raised about the Football League's competence and whether it is able to provide credible governance, it is the turn of Coventry City fans to be calling for change. The Football League Board recently agreed to the relocation of the Sky Blues (owned by the secretive Mayfair based Joy Seppala and her Sisu hedge fund family of companies) from the West Midlands city which has been its home for 130 years to Northampton, creating a 70 mile round trip for supporters to attend 'home' fixtures.

The consequences of the move to Northampton have been depressingly predictable with a reported 90 per cent fall in season ticket sales and Sunday's 'home' game against Colchester being watched by CCFC's lowest ever crowd of just 1700 people, compared with last season's average of over 10,000 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry (which was opened in 2005, has a 32,000 capacity and hosted matches in the 2012 Olympics).

Greg Clarke has already admitted to 'administrative oversights' in the Football League's handling of the Coventry affair, but faces allegations that the League has ignored its own rules and this will be the focus of the 'Mastermind special' where a 'Greg Clarke like character' will have a specialist subject of Football League governance and regulations. As Michael Orton, Co-ordinator of the Keep Cov in Cov campaign, explained: "the League's decision is ripping the heart out of our football club. The 'Mastermind' event is a light-hearted way of making a hugely serious point: Coventry fans are really hurting but when it is being claimed the Football League has ignored its own rules it questions not just their approach to Coventry but has implications for all football fans".
