I don’t care who goes down so long as it’s not us.
With the way things are I’m celebrating our rivals defeats nearly as much as our own wins.
Reminds me of our top flight days...

Yea I’d be happy to see them stay up, we’ve certainly got no axe to grind with them, and they did let us come and play the best football their ground has seen this season.

If Pullis went there and saved them and Sheffield Weds went down instead it would be ironic, I know both of them could yet go anyway or neither

Can rule out Pulis and Lampard.

Isn't Brum's board run by some nut job?

Yup. From now until the end of the season, in every game, they can lose the first half 4 nil and win the second half nil nil..

Enough of the niceties, dog eat dog this end of the season hopefully the crisis deepens and they battle it with Rotherham to avoid that 22nd place. We absolutely have to stay up frig the rest of them !
A side note- people seem to forget we paid Birmingham rent to play there it wasn't from the goodness of there hearts

Been dreading this for weeks as a new manager bounce could see them out of it. But it might be too late now.
Jackett is available.

Jackett would be a good option if they were building for league 1 but if they want to stay in the division you’d expect them to go for an experienced champ manager

Short term appointment their best option is Pullis not sure how his settlement from Sheffield Weds is as sometimes they just keep paying them weekly and he might be better off sitting at home.

Good point
Pulis had a pretty murky past when it comes to severance payments

I can’t see Pulis, Wilder or Lampard being in the frame due to sorting final severance payments from their previous jobs. These things with the legal scan drag on a few months

I am sure he wouldn’t have quit Charlton without already agreeing this move.

He comes across as a distinctly average manager. Charlton fans not bothered he's gone (based on twitter, which is not really a great barometer but the only one I can be arsed to look at) and he doesn't strike me as the most motivational chap in the world. Not to mention the fact that I still hold a grudge after he turned us down 20 odd years ago. I hope he fails miserably.

I suspect it's been on the boil for a while
Charlton remains a basket case and Bowyer hasn't appeared to be fully committed for weeks
And when Karanka was asked if he was about the resign he replied 'certainly not'
Indicating that he had a good idea of what was happening and he wanted to ensure he gets paid off
God knows why Blues owners thought he was the answer in the first place

Saw the interview with him yday and it was awful. Blamed the players and took no responsibility. Mind you their captains wasn't much better, basically said he wasn't good enough as a player or captain.

19th, 19th, 17th, 20th are their finishes for the last few seasons. In that time their squad has got worse. This is inevitable. I don't rate Karanka as a manager but it was obvious when we played them in the cup last season that they'd struggle this.

Bowyer like a challenge one basket case to another
