There's some stuff about it in the today's games thread. It concerned me but people don't seem to think It will make a difference

Surely he has to go. It is a concern that someone could come in and lift them, but then people said Darren Moore was going to come in and save Sheff Wed. We have a lead over Birmingham so it is in our hands.

Will an appointment even be made? What reputable manager would even come to Birmingham now?

Blues will sign Kenny jackett I bet

For me, don't matter who is in charge, the next 5 matches will kill them off this season.

The only sensible reason for sacking him at this point would be if he's completely lost the dressing room, which will make any new manager think twice about joining just to put a relegation on their CV, or if they've got someone in with an eye on building for next season, but they're not even in the relegation zone.

Just a basket case club that could probably do with a year down there to sort themselves out.

It's them 4 games in hand and the remaining fixtures which just suggest they are in a dire situation.
And their goal difference is not helping the situation

I've just read that he did an interview last night and threw the players under the bus. If that's the case then maybe that's why he's going

Not surprised it looks obvious Karanka had lost the dressing room. I have Blues supporting relatives and there was a rumour circulating a few weeks ago Mark Hughes was taking over but that never happened. In a mess at the moment but Birmingham City is a big job just above drop zone so might be in time for a new broom, they play Rotherham soon that’s going to be interesting.

In what universe would Chris Wilder optionally choose to go to Birmingham?

Depends. They might get Slade or Thorne in...

...although more likely Cowley or Wagner, Blues fans think they’re getting Wilder!

Celtic are courting him and there will be numerous other better options than Blues

He wouldn't go there, dispite Sheff U having a poor season his stock is rightly high, worked miracles really. I'd imagine there will some plum Championship jobs available at the end of the season

Has Karanka definitely been sacked ? I’ve just watched ITV Midlands news and they showed yesterday’s goals from midland matches including Brum and there was no mention of him getting the boot.

Your prefered manager Jacket has failed drastically in his 4 year tenure at League 1 Portsmouth. No suprise they have sacked him.

Sky Sports news reporting he has gone

Aitor Karanka no longer manager of Birmingham City after run of three wins in 19 Championship games

Aitor Karanka only took charge in July 2020 but his team are teetering above the Championship relegation places following defeat to Bristol City; it is unclear whether he has been sacked, resigned or they have mutually parted ways

Luckily, Warnock has a job already, otherwise this would be right up his street to come in and keep them up.
