I don't think people are really. Apart from a certain braindead breastfeeder from Earldson.

However, he categorically can't continue missing huge chunks of the season otherwise it's pointless retaining him.

If he can rediscover the form shown season before last while remaining fit for extended periods he'll prove to be a huge asset

If we sign:

Doyle
Brau
KKH
Fettuccine
Dolan
Toffolo

What else do we need?

Another Keeper, and a backup RB?

Keeper, RB, CM then if Wright goes a LW.

GK/Dovin/Wilson
KKH/RB
Toffolo/Angel Brau
Thomas/Lats
Doyle/Kitching
Grimes/Sheaf
CM/Eccles
Rudoni/Torp
Dolan/Saka
Bertaccini/Simms
EMC/Wright

Maybe upgrade Eccles too if the right players comes along? Or have Torp as an 8 and get a successor for Rudi in early.

I think Eccles stays and plays as an 8 this season . Saw him play a lot further up the pitch under Lampard and was very effective in that role too . Think he offers a lot to the squad

Exactly. Also the vest option where everyone assumes long and you mix it up and go short, it's just one of your armoury.

Or alternatively fool everyone and let Saka take it and give away a foul throw

If sheaf stays and is fit hes starting, which makes me think a CM only comes in if 1 goes.

Looking at his highlight reel at PNE, he looked comfortable cutting in from the left hand side.

I do agree that it’s a bit of a stretch that he’ll be playing LB often for us.

Pragmatically, we just bringing in a replacement for MVE early doors.

It’s interesting as I don’t think sheaf was ever really fit last season, so hard to judge fully.

If we can get the FA Cup/Wolves version of Sheaf, then we are flying.

He was genuinely incredible vs Wolves. My 3 underlying memories from that match:

* That goal

* How Sheaf looked like prime Xavi

* How much it hurt when I jumped off the sofa to celebrate that goal, 48 hrs after a vasectomy

Well here is another thought, can't KKH cover the right wing position too? Squad flexibility is a key attribute to improve on.

Maybe a Rudi backup then, it just feels like we’re missing a more dynamic player option in there IMO.

But if we sell MVE we need to buy 2 RBs, injury to Hayden and we’re down to a back up RB, suddenly a position where we were strong isn’t, keep MVE, and Hayden is cover for RB, RM & LB

Luckily he seems another player who is robust. 50 games last season including 44 in the league.

Decent back up. We need some new blood to keep the place fresh, but hopefully not too much squad churn to bed in. A new CF and an experienced keeper possibly on loan would keep me happy. Would like to see a pathway at some point for players like Andrews and Obikwu too if they've trained on, but so difficult a step up at the higher expectation.

The coaches will evaluate Andrews and Moore as they are the natural successors to Allen and Eccles. It sort of fits the model and although i like Eccles he needs to show improvement to hang in.

Yes it is madness to think we will be signing Callum Doyle, Dolan and Bertaccini. Total and complete fantasy.

And to top it off you have listed Ben Sheaf, one of and if not the best midfielder in the league, as our back up. Classic delusion

Never plays a full season…

On average misses a third of a season, likely once he comes back from his usual injury it then takes ages to get them back up to speed

So in 5 seasons Sheaf has a total of 7 goals and 8 assists in the league. How many did Rudoni get last season?

No, he’s v much a defender and we need attacking wide players.

If Haji stays, he’ll be considered primarily as a striker, so we’ve only got 2 ‘out and out’ wingers.

Not just that he also usually has a series of mediocre performances after returning from injury till he regains full fitness.
