I was just amazed you were able to list so many potential good 'uns!

How would you rate the quality in the MLS vs the Championship? And what about the physical demands?

The yo-yo relegated clubs are a step above MLS, but after that the leagues are very comparable.

The unique salary cap and spending rules in MLS mean that there is is a greater disparity between the level of starters and the depth. At the top level, the attacking talent and a lot of higher level first choice starters in MLS, but the depth of rosters is much better in the Championship.

Overall, if a player is a penned-in starter for a MLS team, I would expect them, at minimum, to be a solid contributor to a non-top 6 Championship club.

The physical demands are less in some respects and greater in others. The on-field physicality is a bit higher in the Championship. A bit more rough and tumble league versus MLS which has a sizable central and south american influence. However, the travel and environments are much more physically demanding. We are a massive a country with 4 different time zones. Our summer-based schedule also means that our matches are often played at 30°C+, even at night in some cities. Players new to the country/league often talk about the physical toll that takes across the course of the season.

Get Dean Austin's email address and email that list to him, you never know there might be a little gem amongst that lot.

Plus I wonder if Haji Wright knows any of them?

Haji would definitely know a few through USMNT callups. Through that, he would be a degree of separation from a lot of guys on this list where Haji would have played with one their teammates at one point in time as he was involved in youth NTs and came up through the LA Galaxy academy.

Any Recruitment Officer worth their position should listen to fan recommendations on the basis that most would be immediately discounted, a few they already know about and the odd gem that has gone under the radar. Some fans know sweet FA but others are incredibly knowledgeable particularly if they live abroad. Stats can only take you so far.
We know who were great players at our club but never got picked up by better teams. Tommy Hutchison was a classic example who was consistently brilliant but only late in his career moved to Man City.
I get there are less players who get missed these days, but they are out there probably at the lesser football nations.

The position, fee and type of players the target is should be a positive to all of us. If he is a genuine target then it shows we are looking across the globe and with money to spend on experienced players in a position of need.

As for this player looks from the clips like he has ability to defend and create. What his level is, would be is anyone's guess. All transfer are a risk and nobody is a cert to be successful.

It's a very odd league with huge inequalities within individual squads - some players would be Championship standouts, others would struggle in L2.

Lampard of course will be aware of this having played in MLS for about 18 months.

Joveljic just had the match winner in the MLS Cup and paid homage to former Sky Blue and LA Galaxy champion, Robbie Keane, with his signature celebration.

Some shambolic defending. The center back who keeps dropping without stepping up had a dreadful performance. But he wasn't supposed to start the match. One of RBNY's starting CBs pulled out 5 mins before kickoff due to illness and this kid came in cold.

Still pretty sweet that in that moment Joveljic went immediately into the Keane celly.

Not many go to the Championship as the ones who transfer out tend to have their sights set on top level leagues. But some notable MLS exports in the last 5 or so years include:

- Miguel Almiron (Newcastle)
- Jhon Duran (Aston Villa)
- Ricardo Pepi (Augsburg -> PSV)
- Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich)
- Brendan Aaronson (RB Salzburg -> Leeds)
- Tyler Adams (RB Leipzig -> Leeds -> Bournemouth)
- Taty Castellanos (Girona -> Lazio)
- Daryl Dike (West Brom)
- Adam Buksa (Lens -> Antalyaspor -> Midtjylland)
- Tajon Buchanan (Brugge -> Inter Milan)
- Ismael Kone (Watford)
- Moise Bombito (Nice)
- Kevin Paredes (Wolfsburg)
- Mark McKenzie (Genk)
- Alistair Johnston (Celtic)
- Gianluca Busio (Venezia)
- Matt Turner (Arsenal -> Forest -> Crystal Palace)
- Aiden Morris (Middlesbrough)
- Chris Richards (Crystal Palace)
- Tanner Tessman (Venezia -> Lyon)
- Auston Trusty (Arsenal -> Celtic)
- George Bello (Arminia -> LASK)
