Just annoying that the commentators continually refer to the first Brit to win since Jacklin in 1970? WTF? Mc.Dowwell won 3 years ago and Mc.Ilroy 2 years ago! Suddenly we deny N Ireland's Ulstermen as Brits when convenient?

that's actually 3 in 4 years to the Brits! duh

I take your point, however they should actually have stated that it was the first Englishman to win since 1970, that would have avoided the British/English confusion that arose. I didn't surprise me that out of the group of top 10 English players (Westwood, Donald, Poulter), Rose is the 1st one to win a major. He seems to have the temperament and playing style most akin to Faldo, though perhaps has a more Likeable personality.
