Wasn't it Brody who wanted to have a ticketing system that used those pay points you get in loads of shops to pay bills. Was a pretty good idea, you would have been able to get tickets from loads of places. Wonder if they ever looked into it.

Yeah it would be quite good.

They should just do what they keep trying (I think it was Hannigans??) where you could buy tickets in town.

Maybe with somebody else running the retail side they will be able to get a bit of space inside a shop in town rather than a whole shop for people to pick things up from.

There's a Blaze or ice hockey shop in town isn't there? Maybe see if we can do something with them.

Gallagher is closing and they are moving to the Arena shopping park. Good news

Looks like they have let them have an hour on the computer in the homes today.

So, no mention of how much income, no mention of how this will increase Mowbray's budget....more pennies for the Caymans?

Nike are supplying our kit and presumably leisure wear, the club store moving to the the Arena Park, an area within the Stadium for selling stuff on match days plus it's sunny. Us Cov fans aren't designed to take on board so much positive news in one day and this just proves how little the owners care about us!

Here you go, this may help

:sarcasm:

Nike are supplying our kit and presumably leisure wear---- - Club outsourcing the shop, saving them wages and managing that part of the business
the club store moving to the the Arena Park -------its a smaller unit so rent is less, more cost cutting
an area within the Stadium for selling stuff on match days ------The pasting table will be expanded

Agree. But we aren't getting the top level Nike exclusivity deal like the big teams have, its the bog standard sunday league football off the peg gear. I wouldnt get too excited.

From what I can find out Just Sport Group and Avec Sports are not actually that big so its an interesting choice. But finally movement on a new kit that's got to be positive.

How does the new deal work. It looks like Just Sports are a middleman on the supply of the kit. Are they more active in terms of running the retail outlet? Who gets primacy on the turnover? Who bears the costs?

The retail activities at CCFC has been a shambles for too long hopefully this will be a big improvement and start to maximise income streams

Yeah, think it's safe to say it's not as good as if we did it ourselves properly.

But given we seem incapable of doing it ourselves properly, we may as well give someone else some of the cut and see if they're able to!

Well OSB, if it's good enough for Stockport County then it's good enough for us.

You would think if they are the middle man / supplier, they will be doing their best to have a decent range of stuff to buy and trying to sell as much as possible!

Thats my view too, I hate paying someone else to do something that we should be able to organise easily ourselves, but lets be honest we simply wern't and so while this isn't a perfect scenario it's much much better than the status quo (as much as we can say that without knowing the details)

I don't mind this nearly as much as I minded the club lottery being farmed out, that harmed the product for the fans, this doesn't, it's just some money going to a 3rd party that the club could have.

Like you say, we really can't do it ourselves properly, so this can only be a good thing. It's in their interest to sell loads of stuff and therefore should actually keep up with the demand, which will make a change. No way will they be out of stock at Christmas.

Who cares if we have a generic Nike kit. Most top clubs have fairly similar designs each year anyway.

Now we just need the team to do it on the pitch and we might see the shirts worn around town.

We will sell more and the fans will like the output more everyone's a winner. Yes we might get less of a % per item sold but I would rather 25% of £100 than 100% of £20. Also the more fans connect with the brand etc there will be benifits for ccfc and our visibility to the coventry population.

There used to be the Hockey Locker but it closed years ago. We now only have a retail outlet on match nights.
