Sorry if its in the wrong place but I thought it would be better if I posted this in a new thread as I've just had a natter with one of the ticket office lasses and wanted to make sure everyone saw this!

She had this to say about late tickets and other such relevant things...

They been swarmed with the amount of people buying tickets. At first they were posting them out based on what block they were in, then they changed it to something else (which I wasn't quite sure about) and now they've changed it back to the block system.

She said all the tickets must be sent out by the end of the week so if your still waiting for your ticket, they should arrive either by the end of the week or monday by the latest (one would hope!). I would assume that if it hasn't arrived by tuesday, you should head over to their ticket offices and basically go beat the shit out of someone until they give you one lol Or maybe just ask them politely

She had this to say on Crewe's allocation for the game...

Initially Crewe were given 1000 seats but have since demanded more so city have now allocated them 1,500 seats. But they don't believe all these seats are going to be filled as I got the impression ticket sales on Crewe's end aren't rocketing like they are on our end! I asked about the Crewe away day allocation and she said "We wanted more but they only gave us the 2000 odd tickets. It's silly really as we knew how many fans would be wanting tickets!"

From this I can deduce that Crewe didn't think we'd be bringing that many away supporters and they've allocated most of their tickets to the home support (Pretty much what we've done I guess). It seems city have tried to get more tickets for the away leg but have been refused!

Well I hope thats been beneficial to you all!

Cheers for the info - it seems odd for them to have asked for more when they seem to be struggling to fill the 1000. could we have refused does anyone know, or did we have to give a percentage? based on how well we are selling you would think CCFC would wantto hold on to as many for us as possible.

I have an answer for that too. She gave me the impression they didn't even want to give them 1000 but had too under fair play rules or something to that degree. It sounded like city were trying to keep as many tickets for our fans as they could but had to give more seats to Crewe simply because they asked.

Anybody get the feeling that crewe have taken tickets for themselves on both legs to avoid major embarrassment?

That's very possible.

Can you imagin if they'd given us say 5,000 seats for the away leg and there ended up being more Sky Blue fans at the ground than Crewe fans lol

Let's be fair to Crewe for a minute. They are not a big club, and they were at Wembley last season so this isn't huge for them. They have never given any team more than the allocation they have given us for the 2nd leg. We have 2 sides of the ground, and they were never going to let us in their main stand, and by all accounts sales for the 2nd leg are going well, and the game is a month away. it was as much as we could expect.

As for their allocation at the ricoh, it is feasible they might sell up to 1500 so why wouldn't they ask for them. Game is still a week away remember. They may not sell them in the end, but they might and they are entitled to them so its reasonable that they cover themselves.

I think we should be happy that we have got across as far as block 9.

The club have done really well giving home fans block 9, maybe if Crewe dont sell out there may be some flexibilty to sell a few in block 8!

The point is Crewe seem a bit threatened by the interest generated in both legs. You get the feeling they're a bit amatuerish, I imagine their ticket office being like a second hand car lot, a portacabin with just a table, an ashtray and a filing cabinet containing half a bottle of whiskey and an old porn mag with the pages stuck together

Crewe are "officially" entitled to 15% of the seats which works out at 4,800 - which is almost there run of the mill home attendance, certainly more then turned up for there last tie against Bradford.

By the rules we would only be entitled to 1,500 at Gresty Rd.

Each team is entitled to 45% of the gate receipts after expenses.
