We have signed 3 players last week (before that people complained and even said we would not sign anyone (we signed 3 last season, 2 keepers and Cody) so far this season 3 (not saying we will sign more but not saying we won't)) But the 3 this season do seam better. Atleast 2 offer experiance to help the younger lads out (how many times did people complain that the team was too young and had no experianced players to help them out last season) and then we also have Fleck who is an unknown quantity to us (could turn out to be great player and monetary value wise replace Bigi, or be another Drinkell etc....). I just think people need to relax a little and see who else we get in (if anyone) before they give themselves a weak heart. At the moment i think the purchases have improved so they (MIGHT) be learning. At the same time loads of people are complaing about the amount of pre-season games we have (well if we are going to rely on young players then the Manager/Coaches need time to see them ALL play, so we have an idea of who has a chance of progressing and who won't (bit late i know as they should already have an idea, but better late than before the season starts and more importantly the transfer/loan window closes)). Maybe by playing so many friendly games they are testing out the quality/strengh in depth of the squad. Atleast then they will know where they stand BEFORE the season starts and they might be able to do something about it if it's not good enough, but if the Kids seem good enough they will look at it as money saved against the debt to help us survive. Just trying to keep an open perspective of what might or might not be happening at the club. Lets see what happens before the end of the transfer/loan window and if things still look bleak, then give the new backroom team and SISU crap, but before then, lets just hope and pray that they have learned and are now doing the best they can for us. In me i trust, to anyone/anything else i'll give you a chance to prove to me one way or the other.
PUSB and if the players believe like WE CAN, then one day we will return to our previous top flight days. Well i hope so anyway lol

I had that much to say i cut that rant short and it was hard to leave stuff out. Paragraphs, yeah! if i was doing it daytime at work whilst being paid i might take time to do that, but after no sleep for almost 2 days due to work in Gran Canaria keeping me going i'm not that bothered about them. I guess that means BSB has nothing of any relevalce to add to this. Great way to support a forum. I'm a great CCFC supporter, i have time to make sure every word is correctly spelt, punctuated, paragraphed etc. But i'm a bit dull, i can't actually contribute to the content of the thread, so i have to make myself look stupid. AHH BLESS!!!!

I totally agree with your point I seen so many times last season most people was saying we are to young to do anything and now we have got 2 experienced players there moaning because there to old.

well for me Kilbane might be 35 but AT has stated that all the running sessions he was first so for me I think he will do a good job for us this season and as for the other 2 players we got no one can really comment on them because no one has really seen them play for CCFC in our set up for all everyone knows elliot could score 20+ next season and fleck could be the best midfielder in the league so the way I see it is dont judge the players we get until you see them play.

Its gentle ribbing pipkin ,note the winking smiley ,people do it to each other on here all the time .Best to view your post as a rallying call ,we get all hot and bothered on here becuase we probably spend too much time on here ,its like an addiction and we can become extreme and fractured ,a little less reasoned than your OP.This is probably the best time of day to leave something on here ,then you won't be around when others pull it apart . The percieved destruction of our football club is bound to evoke fierce views.

Your views are very close to mine. From my experience on here since Bigi was sold I can tell you to get ready with a hardhat. Many can't or won't see anything happening that could be good for us. Players we sign will either be shite, inexperienced or over the hill and injury prone even if they have averaged over 40 games a season over a long career.

Yes things arew quite bad, but they could be much worse.

Well can't argue with most of that. Certainly we're at a better stage than this point last season. Brought in 3 potentially class players and those we've lost either weren't up to it with the exceptions of Cranie and perhaps Bigi.
I have some faith that we'll bring in the needed cover also, though we'll see I guess...

I might have had agreed with you to some point last season but my own personal view is that all SISU are trying to do is sell a few more season tickets and split the fan base. They (SUSU SCUM) do not care one hoot what happens to the Football Club and when you have been around longer and can see behind there lies you will see its all one big scam, they do not care FULL STOP.

Sorry SBS.

Even now the team that kicks off against Yeovil will be much stronger than the one against Leicester.

That is not what I meant. I said the first game so no Norwood, Nimeley, Mcdonald. McPake wasn't deemed good enough to start ahead of Christie as wasn't Wood. Clark was injured and so was Deegan. Only Juke would be missing from the ones who have left.

I think last week was a really positive week. Ok Negative we sold Bigi who we all like and has bags of potential. However we got a fee, future clauses and good chance we could see him again on loan so its not as bad as some of the players we have lost on free transfers because thier contracts ran out. Very much looking forward to Fleck and having seen kilbane and Elliot play for Ireland they are good additions. Hoping Elliot refinds a scoring touch but he works so hard and does a lot for the team.

pre season friendlies i think our only a good thing. more we play the better for the young lads to get a few games and for the new boys to come in. As well as this i think we need games to get over last years bad season so hoping that friendlies will expell some of the daemons.

we need more players but hoping that we will get some in and hopefully if anymore leave it will only be keogh. I think we need to remember that this division will be hard to get results in but we have some match winners and i think Cody will be big this year for us.

Would i like to be in the Championship yes i would. However we are not and we need to as we all do support the Sky Blues!

Keep the Faith.

Bigi made his debut as did Christie. The bench was very weak. Clark is a very good full-back and Wood a good centre half. Clingan was poor all season according to the majority on here. I think you will be hard pressed to argue the team above on paper is worse than the one that started that first game.

The bench looks stronger but the starting 11 isn't, Clarke is better than Christie, but cranie, juke and clingan are better than the players that have replaced them. We don't know enough about fleck to make any judgements. And the point you made about clingan being poor ditto Deegan and bell.

Suggesting the use of paragraphs isn't a negative thing. If you're posting here surely you want people to read your posts, which is made a lot easier when it's not a wall of text.

The biggest moan last season was the amount of inexperienced players we had brought through from the academy lads. At the start of last season they were inexperienced. A few days ago one of them was sold. There was uproar from some as he has potential. Last season he was one of the inexperienced players, so this shows that our younger players will be much better than at the start of last season. This season another 6 have been brought in. Again these will be seen as inexperienced. That is because they are, but if they can be brought in more slowly than last season they will do better. They are also up against a lower strength opposition. This is also where signings like Kilbane are worth much more than signing just a player with experience. He will help the latest academy lads as well as the ones with a season's experience.

We still have over a month before the season starts. Then we will have a much better idea on who we will have, how the team will bond and also the gulf between Championship and Div3 players. I think we will do much better than last season. Some think there will be not much difference. When the season starts the guessing time will end and the serious stuff will start.

To be fair to BSB, paragraphs just require you to press the return/enter button a few times....hardly time consuming or mentally taxing.
It would also have made your interesting post an even better read

I don't agree on Wood vs. Cranie I think there is little to choose between them. Wood has made 70 more appearances in competitive football. That's just opinions. I agree I liked Juke but remember McDonald is highly rated by the manager and he thinks will be top scorer in the league. Fleck was chosen so you have to assume that he will bring something better as will Kilbane. Also I am not highly critical of Bell and will expect him to have a reasonable season. I have not even included Thomas in the squad and you could pick Baker and/or McSheffrey as well.

On the contrary, you'll find I've added quite a bit to this forum. Don't get all worked up when someone tells you just to split up a great wall of text so it's more legible. Just press enter a few times!
