You said to stop sisu buying it. The sale of the lease was only agreed providing the sale of the council share of ACL was also agreed.

Well it begs a few questions doesn't it.

The minutes of the meeting at the point of sake shows that the freehold was sold along with the council share.

Odd as that it itself significantly boosts the value of ACL. It shows the value of the original lease really nothing.

What I do not understand is why ACL when owned by the charity and the council did not ask then for 250 years which would have solidified the value of the business.

Why in particular did not Higgs ask earlier?

Did they and the council rejected it? Why on earth would they do that - I mean they wouldn't want to devalue the business to facilitate a cheap sale......would they?
As you well know Higgs were only supposed to hold onto the share as security for money loaned to CCFC. So why would they want to pay to extend when it wasn't supposed to be theirs for long.

So what is your next anti Higgs/CCC conspiracy?

They wouldn't have had to pay. ACL would have paid and their share value would have increase substantially.

What on earth are you on about?

ACL without any money because no rent had been paid for ages and no tenant in place?

Again I'm confused.

You says Higgs now it's ACL. If the long lease was available and it was sold to ACL it would significantly improve it's value. You've said that yourself.

The price paid was nothing compared to the value of the lease.

Why was it sold only when the council actually concurred the sale of their share of the business. That undermines the whole business. It makes no sense.

Also the minutes stated that a sale to wasps would only be made if the security and long term future of CCFC and CRFC would be secured.

Well those conditions are going well.,..

Okay.
Now we understand the reasoning how do we best get Sisu out ?
I estimate we have 2 years to do it or we could be moving out the Ricoh into a Butts arena with temporary stands.
Might even coincide with the end of the legal battles.
Anyone against ?

You liked old fiver's post. His post was quoting minutes of the meeting regarding the councils agreed sale or indeed as he puts it "sale" of the leasehold to wasps.

He asked why this took place when the extra leasehold would have substantially raised the bid price. This is very strange business practice.

It's the same conclusion I came to when I read the minutes.

You agreed with him yet seem to be arguing the opposite.

I can only conclude you haven't read the minutes and came to a misunderstanding as to what he said.

And how do you explain my reply to his post without changing the wording I used or missing out words for your own benefit? Looks like my reply to him has pissed you off as you can't accuse me of being a Wasps lover so you try to say I don't know what I am agreeing with

You might as well give up with your bullshit against me now. Have had enough of your little man syndrome rantings for the evening at least. Try to find yourself another idiot to take the piss out of.

If you think swapping a duplicitous hedge fund with no regards to its fanbase for another duplicitous hedge fund with even less regard for its fan base is 'the lesser of 2 evils' you are seriously fucking deluded.

I bet they are quaking in their boots that Sisu are 'talking' about a plan that has no chance of getting planning permission based on just existing planning rules.
In fact I bet you now, that the 'actual' Sisu plan is for temporary stands and 8,000 capacity. Playing right into Wasps hands.

But it will play into their hands IMHO.
The lack of income would kill us and Wasps would pick us up for a song.
They will already control most our facilities so it's just a waiting game.

Given the costs of running a football team and the unpredictability of it, the bit where he says about the 1 or 2 more possible teams not being a financial burden on the rugby club, I would say pretty much rules out the football club. My guess would be basketball (whatever happened to the crusaders?) And possibly a merger with Coventry bears, which would mean the bowl is being used during the summer.

The way they council fall over themselves to help them they'll probably rename the city.

So what other local teams are they planning to screw over? What sports are there where we don't have an existing team?

Pretty much sums them up when he talks about Wasps as a brand rather than a rugby club.

They went bust in the recession. Lack of sponsorship essentially, by the end the coach was funding the team himself.
There has been attempts to expand the professional league in this country but all the expansion teams they have tried to start up have gone bust before playing a game.

Would that work? We can't play pre-season games at the Ricoh because we're told the pitch wouldn't cope.
Also would be concerned that could be an issue for CRFC. Do their Butts plans become less viable if the Bears move out?

No idea with regards the pitch. Wasn't it relaid again this summer?

I imagine it would impact on CRFC if the bears moved out of The Butts. But when has that stopped Wasps from doing what they want.

Wasps are squeezing Sisu/CCFC in all areas.
Negotiations at the Ricoh have stalled as we now wait to for Sisu to compete legal action first.
CCFC stay at the Ricoh for another 2 years and after that it will be under Wasps terms.
Looks like Wasps will accommodate the academy at the Higgs but in their facilities.

Let’s face it Wasps have us by the short and curlies and there is nothing Sisu/we can realistically do about it.

IMHO Wasps want the club and Sisu are playing right into their hands.

Wasps are just sitting back, appearing to be sympathetic to our needs and letting Sisu self-destruct CCFC, effectively devaluing it. A tactic that Sisu are well familiar with.

Sisu/CCFC can’t afford to build a new stadium or an academy so they are totally in Wasps control and that’s exactly what Wasps want.
It appears to me that soon it will be just a simple management change for Wasps to take over the club and continue to accommodate it at the Ricoh and Higgs.
It may be just my opinion but I have also picked up hints from people I know at the Ricoh.

We are therefore now approaching the end game.

I want Sisu out and I believe Wasp can offer a solution (maybe the only solution) that will get us back on the football track.
We need to wait for Sisu to exhaust themselves and we need to accelerate that process at every opportunity.
We need to tell them we have had enough and want them to put the club up for sale and leave.
Nobody surely wants them here anymore, they had a go and failed. They do not have the answers to the problems they have caused..
We could say that the club is self-sufficient thanks to them, but now they need to let it go.
It would be a nice parting gesture but are they big enough to do it.

To help move this on we need to be more proactive.

I personally don’t like protests that effect the players but the return of Sisu protest flags would be a start.
Any chanting could be at half time or by staying behind after the match.
Keep to just football chanting during the match as the players are not to blame.

I know it may go against the grain for some that Wasps would own and run the club but survival of the club is more important.
It also gives the club the identity, finance and infrastructure it has lacked for so long. Be it shared with Wasps.
Yes, there will be competition for funds for both clubs at the Ricoh but the position is better than what we have at the moment or in the foreseeable future.
If Wasps own CCFC the PL would be a source of funds and profile for both clubs and the stadium sponsorship etc.

How low that Sisu will let us go before they release us remains to be seen?
It is fool-hardy for Sisu ,or fans, to assume that they will ever get their money back.
We have a few years of court cases before it will happen but it’s now just a waiting game. It’s all about Sisu pride now.
It may even mean Sisu taking us to the Butts in temporary stands for the interim but the Ricoh will always be there under Wasps control for us.
It’s high stakes and personally I can see that we will go into administration one more time before the final solution is upon us.

We need to reflect where we are and not be distracted that Wasps have outmanoeuvred Sisu or they have relocated to Coventry, after all it’s just ownership.

We can influence the timing and we should help the inevitable by getting rid of Sisu by a ‘death by a thousand cuts’.

Just let it happen and help if you can.
