If Wasps buy us we'll proably end up playing at Adams Park.

It actually makes a lot of sense. Not saying it will happen but the value of ACL will undoubtedly go up with the security of two major tennants filling the stadium's calendar guaranteeing income on a yearly basis. Very handy situation to be in when the bonds are due. It would make it considerably easier for people to take new bonds rather than cash.

It won't happen though unless SISU are willing to take a big big hit on the debt, mind you it's not real debt so that shouldn't be a problem or SISU put us in admin again which seems even more unlikely to me.

I've heard murmours of this before about an associate of Derek Richardson, Denis O Brien think his name was who is an Irish billionaire based in Malta, 2 teams sharing one stadium like Hull, Bristol, Swansea, Wigan and sharing income streams. I'm sure wasps would love those income streams especially if we ever returned to the premiership but had no day to day running of the football club which was left to another consortium but linked in some way.You would then have 2 teams playing in the premiership at there represented sports with potentially 20000 plus crowds every week, one week football the next week rugby. Is that Wasps gain who knows?

What ever happened to supporting the team not the regime? Maybe you do support SISU not the club after all.

Must admit I wouldn't, unless of course it was no longer Coventry city etc.

While it was the same club I'd still go, I go now with sisu there and did before. If the colours changed, name changed etc I'd be out.

It's the concept of franchising I disagree fundamentally with.

Therefore, owned by the same entity that is willing to permanently move a club, would be the end for me. It's the same reason I would never go to MK.

I'd hazard a guess that its because we at least have a degree of independance still at the moment wheras we will most certainly get the shitty end of EVERY stick if it happened.

I believe their presence in the City is an affront and abuse in the same way MK Dons is. It shouldn't be encouraged by anyone who values community and tradition.

It wouldn't happen anyway and if it did the consequences would be dire. Back to a huge rent with a holding company who by their own admission would view football as bottom of the agenda.

I understand that but we'd really only be swapping an owner that would do it for one that has done it.

I would say that getting out of L1 at the moment is not what Wasps would want. It would increase the value and delay Sisu departure.
No matter how you cut it, there will be more pain before gain.
Wasps need us to be totally dependant on them, perhaps on our last legs and then the switch to happen.
Why would promotion be more pain?... IIdiot.
Btw, it was fairly blatant that you didn't write the opening advertorial. Personally, I don't think Wasps expected us to sell as many season tickets as we have and also maybe hadn't considered that BPA might be a go-er. Could be why they are making mistakes in their rushed PR campaign.

I think us fans are realising that we can't rely on anyone else to get us out of this shit, as all parties involved are duplicitous arseholes. My aim this season is to go to as many matches as possible with my boy, as I genuinely believe we'll be promoted. And if everyone thought like this we would be unstoppable.

Right, I'm off to enjoy the sunshine. I know I've gone all idealistic, but think back to how and why you started supporting our great club and focus on that this season. We've been part of someone else's game for far too long.

I would hope that there would be no fear of that happening given the recent precedent set by the football authorities over the proposed rebranding of Hull.

Because we would be owned by an organisation that had no affinity to any community whatsoever.

Furthermore the club would end up assisting the funding of their City of Rugby project. I am not funding that thank you.

That's one way of looking at it, OSB did some really good analysis on the reasons it doesn't make sense. You've essentially got 3 loss making organisations, they are trying to make a success of the arena, whilst making the rugby club the biggest in Europe. Whilst you can argue you'd increase the value of acl, you'd also significant increase the risks.

Add to that the amount of cash needed to make a football club a (not guarenteed) success, and diverting all matchdayy revenues and 50% other revenues into the football club would hit the rugby club.

Even if sisu wiped the debt, wasps wouldn't touch us with a barge pole. Far too many risks, you only have to look at the majority of football clubs that are making loss after loss, raking up debt, and the nature of football is its far harder to succeed than rugby where the PL is pretty much a closed shop.

If in the event we went into admin, I can however see wasps looking a for an arms length partner to buy us from admin, so they can rent to us, utilise revenues from visitors but not have any of thr ownership risks.

Unlike SISU of course who when aren't rescuing kittens and feeding the starving have an affinity to Coventry. Maybe that's why they're based in the tax haven that's the Cayman islands. It's so they can turn baby turtles back over and escorting them safely to the sea during hatching season.

Please, if principles was a reason to stop supporting CCFC you'd have stopped the moment we were taken over by a hedge fund or the moment that hedge fund allowed the signing of a convicted woman beater.

Community ?
Are wasps not allowing the community to use their new State of the art training facility and creating jobs there as well?

But would you support it if it did benefit your football team ?
Would it not satisfy your ambition that CCFC were playing in their own stadium ?
Wasps could give CCFC priority at the Higgs and gain us back our Cat 2 status at no extra cost.

Could Wasps maybe move Ryton to their facilities no longer required at Broadstreet ?

Win win ?

Now, this is the attitude from some I really struggle with. What Wasps have done is, in my humble opinion, a zillion times more extreme than SISU. Our owners moved us temporarily for a season, that was wrong. Wasps have moved their team permanently 85 miles, despite having options to stay where they were in Wycombe or move back to London; their natural home. Yet, this is apparently "good business". I really don't get it.

I totally disagree with franchising team sports.
Football teams, rugby teams etc belong to the communities where they originated, I don't like the fact wasps are here at all, they're a London club and that's where they should be based so it would irk me if we were owned by them.

Though been totally honest, and despite considering myself to be a fairly principled person, it wouldn't surprise me to find myself skulking back up to the Ricoh!

Disturbing echoes of when SISU first rocked up. Many posters on GMK feted their 'good business sense'.

So who cares what else they are... as long as they make a profit for their investors and shareholders?

Creating jobs? Won't the staff just move up from London? Where will they need additional staff? Or is this a bit like a brand new training facility but turns out to be covs academy and community facility? Which the community usage will reduce if wasps players are there until 3. The netball players in the community won't have anywhere to play because wasps players need to park their cars. I can really feel the sense of community. It's funny how you think people swallow the shit sisu come out with yet swallow every bit of shit wasps come out with and more. You are nauseating

I'd swap our poorly performing hedge fund for upcoming Wasps holding Company tomorrow.

I'd swap 'no chance' for 'some chance' all day long .

Football clubs can't be moved know the loophole has been closed since MKDons.

Poorly performing hedge fund? In what respect? Not permanently relocating 95 miles? Or not mortgaging the stadium that they have bought? Or is it that our hedge fund want us to live within our means? In part due to lack of assets and income streams. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds
