Put some respect on Coventry City and Frank Lampard

Most goals , most points , most wins , least losses

That is all

This thread is probably in reference to it but when Boro scored the other day even the commentator said “they have the best squad in the league and they are playing like it”. I had to go and check the league table again.

Yes the best manager in the league seems to shit out a fair few 0-0s and 0-1s. If you sit in they have no idea what to do.

It's probably for the best, everyone talking about Middlesbrough and Ipswich while almost remarkably we've been top of the league since is it November bar 1 game and we've gone under the radar it seems.

Don't care what anyone says, Boro are a good watch, doesn't mean they're the best team, they're clearly not, but they play nice stuff.

Watching Ipswich makes my eyes bleed.

Will be the best defense too in the next few weeks, we're hardly conceding now since we stopped going gung ho whilst winning

Which is obviously bollocks, because they lack a proper striker.

You can't have the best squad without that.

They've arguably got the best midfield, but they've not got the most balanced squad.

Really? We had a better squad than them last year and the same is true this year.

We have 3 strikers on double figures whereas Conway has 8 goals all season…

Letting Boro catch up for one game just to beat them then leave them flailing in the mud again was elite level trolling.
Proper 3 horse race for second, that'll be a fun watch for the neutral. Hope its Millwall, really hope its not Ipswich.

That was their chance to be honest. Although their home form since that game has truly been an elite tier bottle job performance.

Chasing first place, you need to put Oxford, Leicester and Charlton to bed. After all, they have ‘the best squad in the league’…

We’ve just matched their longest win streak and have another home game at the weekend.

Any set of fans that’s gleefully use their managers name and add -ball to the end to indicate some kind of otherwordly prowess are worse than half and half scarfers in my book .. deluded

Boro fit into that category like a glove…

Story of our existence, we are always under the radar each season no matter how good and competitive we are especially in the MR era. I don’t really mind personally let everyone concentrate on the other teams, while FL and the lads just go on about their business.

Quite right.

To make it better we did the double over them because they can’t cope with Lampball

Those saying "boro best side" fall into the "possession" stats trap. Boro keep the ball a lot but there's lot of short square & backward passing.

I’m with you on this, Boro play some great stuff and with a decent striker could well be top

Ipswich have maybe got too many players who only seem to turn up for the ‘big’ matches. There’s no doubt they raised their game at our place. Nobody can tell me we weren’t the better team first half at theirs though, we were all over them in patches

Boro and Ipswich have looked good at times over the season for sure but they’ve also stuttered more than us thus far and that’s why…..’ We are top of the league

We have the best Goalkeeper in the league and the best forwards. Boro have the best midfield in the league. Our defences are about the same.

We play different styles. Boro are more possession based and are easy on the eye. We are more direct and have more ways of winning games.

It has been nice to see Boro' up there this season. Much preferable to Southampton, Leicester, Sheff Utd, and some of the 'expected' teams. It would be great if us, Boro and Millwall could go up, just to shake things up a bit.
