Maddison is technically better and cleverer than most of the squad, he will also chip in with scoring penalties and free kicks. He is young and a little light weight but he can only improve and get stronger. There is a good group of 1st year pros for next season. Search George Thomas, Dion Kelly Evans, Devon Kelly Evans, Cian Harries, Ben Stevenson on YouTube and you will see their season highlights from this year. Mix them in to the 1st team gradually along with a few experienced heads (hopefully TM will stay and bring a few in) and I think it could be a good recipe. 2nd year pros like Haynes should also be really pushing on next season

After reading the expert's opinions about Haynes, it's hard to believe that he won't be in the PL next season

Come on Nick. So someone said that he would go up in value by a lot. Why not mention Wilson and how some were saying that 3m was a good deal for our club? Some still try to make out it was a good deal. But dependent on add ons maybe one of the worse deals in a very long time.

Maddison shows promise, potential and everyone knows he is talented,, so its only a matter of time before he or family/agents are approached about availability and current contract, if not already!!!!!!.. He is a kid learning a trade but it does not stop clubs from taking a chance on what they see, already he is a name most other clubs know about... So we can mention many names that haven't worked out, to back up an opinion but the facts are clubs buy potential gamble on talent its just a matter of time with him..

Some work out, some don't, most players don't know what level they are at or could be at, neither does the buying club,, its a lottery for all concerned, but one that big clubs pay big to hit the jackpot....

Is this a football equivalent of Tourettes ?

Apologies if it's senility kicking in, but what has Pogba got to do with the price of eggs?

I really need to start double checking which thread I'm in before I post.

Well, he's got a brain and is cool-headed to go with the skill. Love this quote about his goal on Sunday:

“I was confident. I knew I just needed to get a good contact on it and with just a defender in the way I knew if I put it mid height just to his side that he couldn’t use his hands. I would probably have put it low if there was a keeper in the goal because he’d have to get down. You have to hit the target and that’s when you have to have a cool head and be calm, which is what I did.”

I think Maddison is the best I've seen in the past 10 years to come straight out of the academy and immediately to show his ability. From his first appearance he went out there with a bit of swagger and demanded the ball off people.

I reckon it's too early for a big club to come in for him over the summer, I'm sure he'll be watched like a hawk in the early part of the season though and a good few months in the first team would see the vultures circling. Hopefully the club can look at how MK Dons handled Delle Alli, convince him to stay for another season and his value could double.

Yup, for me he looks a lot better than Bigi. With Gael, it was obvious he had the talent, but I don't think he had the footballing brain that Maddison has.

He wouldn't get a game with us. Not for a couple of months at least.

Nice to see the lad stating In the CT today that he just wants to stay and play
Does mention how It would be Ideal If that was under TM
Whether It's dependant on that who knows

Agreed Wingy - it's a bit chaotic from the whole club's point of view if we now have to go searching for a new manager, and the message that will send to players we are trying to keep and attract. TM stays and it's suggesting a more solid platform.

Mathias Pogba of Crawley, in another thread someone suggested we should try and sign him and I think he's crap.

I like him a lot, carries the ball with pace, excellent control.

Wish he would cut out the diving though. He does dive IMO.

I've no doubt he will go right to the top and I said as much when I saw him play for the first time against Watford in pre season.

He wasn't on the pitch for long and only touched the ball a few times but I just knew straight away he was a big talent.
