Fair play to Leon Clarke today, best game he has played for us IMHO. Got the goal and contributed a lot more all round. Great support from SBA, it was a bit strange being spread over the two stands though...................oh and what were those guys actually dressed as with the pointy hats?? I thought Dickinson put in a robust performance as did Cameron. We seemed to flex a bit more muscle at times all round which can be useful in this league.
Great to bounce back from a shit 12 days or so and has restored some faith. One man doth not maketh a club !!!

Agree, thought the support was great today, felt like more than 1250 of us.
Thought the crayons were great, added to the party.
Dickinson played well.

Ashdown, how did we play generally, did we play passing football ,and we kept a clean sheet,so did the defense look solid ?
I've been very busy today, to cap a shite week my house sale fell through at the 11th hour,so we have to go back to square one.
It has been a horrific week, just hope this week is a good un, personally and with the matches against Crewe home and away.

Safe defensively, played well at 4-4-2 and 4-5-1, can't knock it really, a solid performance.

I've been saying Edj should be dropped, we did look more comfortable defensively, HOWEVER, I don't know ifit was because Bury are really poor or Cameron and Wood are a good partnership.

Dickinson was very robust, but did the basic well.

Good to meet you today.

To me we played well, but not great, back four were strong, liked way Dickinson slotted in well.

The feelings mutual.

I agree, Cameron should get a run to see if he's the 'real deal' or just had a good game v a poor team.

Elliott works hard, BUT, I don't think he's worth keeping Moussa (today), Fleck or Thomas out of the side, before others say, it's not a vendetta/agenda, I think he isn't as good as the 3 mentioned.

Note: I was surprised to hear 2 conversations mentioning SkyBlue_Taylor, am I becoming a sort of villain on the forum? :thinking about:

We played fairly similarly which in many ways is a relief. We certainly didn't resort to long ball and we didn't panic at any point although Bury did have a go at us. Cameron and Wood held their ground and Sheffers and Baker kept them on their toes the other end. I thought Elliot worked hard and Clarke put in a shift as well. It was all pretty good but I'd judge us against better opposition maybe on Wednesday, although even that won't be a true reflection when you have to try and come from 3 down.

I thought we played some nice football on a poor pitch, good touches and passes on a very uneven surface. Bury were as poor as I've seen this season. Enjoyed seeing defenders defend properly, winning headers and clearing it when unsure instead of trying to be clever.

Dickinson was solid needs to take a bit more care with his passing though. Apart from his goal Baker had a bit of an off day and held onto the ball too much. I thought Elliot looked lively and did very well cutting in from the right. Cameron was solid and showed good pace at the back however i got the feeling he's a bit short and is vulnerable to long balls, but he uses his strength to counter that. Overall I didn't think we played that well, and never really got the ball down, but I guess its a good thing if we can win 2-0 whilst playing badly
