I had a feeling that he would have joined Bolton once they were up and running... but hey! Close the door on the way out!

It would happen after the first choice left back gets injured

He wasn't in the U23s yesterday so was a sign.

Shame it's not a full time move though.

Is that a definite?
Also, I've said it before, I think Shippers can cover there if we are short.

I as really excited by his signing, and there were a few (albeit brief) glimpses of his quality, so it's a shame it hasn't worked out for him here, but with Mason and McCallum, then it's no surprise he's allowed to move on.

Hope he goes on to do well

Don't think MR would have put Brown in the first team regardless.

What kind of journalism is this?

“In other Coventry City news, a 20-year-old is set for a medical after seven-figure fee agreed, a 22-year old may follow”

An obvious double benefit : one less disaffected individual about the camp, plus will help the balance sheet/cash flow position of the club.

Can he? We're not exactly blessed with central midfielders.

Obviously would depend on overall injury situation, but we have one or two options there. Allen to return, Pask can play defensive midfield? (IIRC) Burroughs, Eccles (I know some are raw - but for one-offs) MR may even play Max central midfield as an experiment!!

No problem, no malice didn't really do anything wrong maybe a shame he is at the wrong end of his career tbh, would have been a good signing 3/4 years ago I reckon..

Don’t think he was ever given a decent chance but the bits I saw he is way ahead of McCallum.

You'd expect a 30 year old pro to be ahead of an 18 year old kid. The fact they're even being spoken about in the same sentence shows what a talent McCallum is.

Don’t think Browne has ever really got over his injury, not sure what it was l was speaking to Shrewsbury fan at their place last season and he was surprised he played again, perhaps MR just took a gamble when he signed him that he’d had fully recovered.

He was playing regularly - he had a big bust up with him and they haven’t spoken for months

Dont get the hatred for Brown. He has never really been given a run in the team and had a great rep before he came to us.
The rumours about him being a bad influence on the squad are just rumours and if he goes I wish him well as things havnt worked out here for whatever reason

Also heard this too. And backed up by quotes from MR in press during pre-season

His wife had a kid this week as I put on another thread so is probably the reason he hasn't been around U23s, Jack Burroughs played as a stand in LB yesterday

Hopefully he will sort this move and start playing again regularly, good for all parties

Grendel spouting shite again

Some players don’t though we pay far too much attention to under 23 games. Even Biamou scores at that level

Such a classic football transfer article, riddled with cliche.

Poised to move - check
<Insert club> have had a difficult start to life in <Insert league> - check
down the pecking order - check
search of regular first-team football - check

I thought Brown was OK when he played, he got dropped at the point where he'd started to improve oddly. Shame it hasn't worked out for him.
