It was nice to hear that Burnley had put in an offer.
“It massages the ego a bit but I’ve been happy enough here and it’s up to Coventry to decide whether they want to sell me or not

“I’m Coventry’s player and they deemed that the bid put in was not acceptable to how they value me.”

Lukas on changing his role

Speaking to the CT Lukas reveals he has been told by the coaching staff to save more of his energy for the box

“It’s something we talked about last season.

“I like to think I’m an honest player who gives everything for my team so I always work hard. But the coaches tell me I should try to save more of my energy for the box and ultimately I want to do that.

“I need to try to get myself in between the goals more and let the other lads get the service in.”

I'm confident he will stay, he understands the clubs situation and I hope he will do the right thing and stay. He looked happy here based on the way he played on Saturday and he sounds as though he has no intention of leaving.

Think your reading far too much into that, I mean why would they lie about it? If they had made an offer and we rejected it, it would make SISU look better to some of the SISU out crowd, no?

Why would they lie about having a meeting with the council?

Why say no offer has been received when it has? Why not just say "We have had an offer but he is not for sale". It would make common sense to come out and say "He isnt for sale" as it would please the SISU outters, but that would be too simple

Why feel the need to lie all of the time to the fans? Why would the juke come out and say he was touched by a non existent offer?

That was pretty much the point I was trying to make.

It could be that Juke thought a bid was made because of the speculation or a slip of the tounge etc. There is no gain whatsoever for the board/clouting to say a bid wasn't recieved if there was - as you (and I said) coming out and saying he's not for sale would go down much, much better.

It's quite simple, why they said there was no offer.

It wasn't high enough, which is what juke says also.

They will accept a bigger offer, of course, but don't want our fans to know that he might be sold soon (if burnley, or others, offer more money).

I take it as the board say there was no bid, to encourage others to think that they may offer an acceptable amount. If they come out saying we rejected offers, other teams will think, 'well if they couldnt make a big enough bid, there is no way we will be able to'.

I am completely sick and tired of these SISU games. If your going to kill my club, just do it fast now, dont make this the most painful experience of my life.
