So he’s a brilliant man even though the evidence suggests he covered up child abuse in Liverpool and shamed a decent man’s reputation to further his climb up the greasy pole

he’s a vile man

You don’t know him and have never met him and don’t know anyone who knows him yet you read some media stories and deign to tell me he’s a vile man. Ok

So you dispute the articles then? Are they lies? I don’t believe he’s actually commented has he on the Liverpool incident?

After much bashing he gave some concession to Bell only as he was repeatedly hangared by certain journalists

I’ve met him as well

Point of order -
Hippies generally were white, middle class and privileged, at least in the 60s / 70s. Hence the phrase 'drop out'. They were the ones who could afford not to work and to go off to communes in West London, California, Ibiza etc.

Do you have a prejudice for him?

He now says we should forgive Andrew the man who had illegal sexual relations in the states

Given his history in Liverpool when you turn a blind eye why should we be surprised

What makes him brilliant?

I’ve no idea if they’re lies. They are biased as he is trying to discredit someone he believes who doesn’t do Christianity in the way he thinks is right

That's bit of a strange position seen as you're bigging up the woman who spent 12 mil bailing Prince Andrew out

His work in Nigeria with muslim and Christian communities seeking peace at risk of his own life
His vulnerability when talking about his daughter and her mental health struggles
His powerful journey after losing his daughter at a young age and how he and his wife got their lives back on track
The way he managed finding out who his real dad was in the public eye
His ability to love and forgive in a world that prefers hate and bigotry

Just a few things
Does anything fulfil you? Are you happy about anything?

No one is perfect
Everyone makes mistakes
Everyone needs love
Everyone needs forgiveness

On Andrew he said he is seeking to make up for his errors and he said we need to be more forgiving as a society
He was stupid to link them

I agree we need to be a more forgiving society

No it’s not. Unless you are suggesting I’ve abused young boys or Justin has? It was certainly what allowed society to let them get an out for their abhorrent actions. Much like loving the monarchy for what they’ve done for us. Unquestioning loyalty is dangerous

I know, I'm pretty much the same, not pro monarchy but think we've got bigger Fish to fry than trying to become a republic which is why some of your fervent arguing on here is a bit peculiar.
However, how any one passes this long weekend without hurting anyone else is fine by me!

Next round. What’s your poison tonight?

Got myself some of that Captain Morgan’s Sliced Apple rum. It’s much better than Jim Beam’s and Jack Daniels Apple whiskey.
