Any one at home... Vale away, because its just down the road from me, and I was looking forward to friendly against them earlier this season.

Anyone for me, I still look at those list of names and see them all as "beatable" despite being bought back down to earth early in the season lol.

Anyone know when the draw is?

I stick by what i said. Its all flat caps, warm bitter and mushy peas up your way. Like i said, grim. ;-) Just pointless arguing about it all day as neither will convince the other to change their mind. Just need to agree to disagree.

The last time I saw someone wearing a flat cap was many years ago and in Cov. Just trying to work out why it is overcrowded near me with southerners in the summer months, and why do so many have holiday homes up here if it is grimmer than where they live.

I saw a feature on the news a few years ago claiming that Coventry is the beginning of northern England.

I'd like County, United or Vale away.
Or United or Bradford Home.

Dont mind really who we get the stronger team the better at home. Sheff utd away will be difficult but going to have to knock them out at some point.

the world is such a brighter place today.

We could get any of the teams in the Northern section as they're merged at '1/4 final' stage...

Round 1 - 32 teams compete
16 clubs are awarded byes straight through to round 2 in an in-house pre-draw leaving the remaining 32 League 1 and 2 clubs to compete in round 1. Teams are drawn in couples within each section and games are played on a knock-out basis with the first drawn club playing at home.

Round 2 – 32 teams compete
The 16 clubs that were awarded byes straight through to round 2 play the 16 winners from round 1. Teams are drawn in couples within each section and games are played on a knock-out basis with the first drawn club playing at home.

The sections are now merged leaving just a Northern and Southern section.

Area Quarter Finals – 16 teams compete
There are 8 games in the Area Quarter Finals, 4 in the Northern section and 4 in the Southern section. Teams are drawn in couples within each section and games are played on a knock-out basis with the first drawn club playing at home.

Area Semi-Finals – 8 teams compete
There are 4 games in the Area Semi Finals, 2 in the Northern section and 2 in the Southern section. Teams are drawn in couples within each section and games are played on a knock-out basis with the first drawn club playing at home.

Area Finals – 4 teams compete over 2 legs
Drawing is no longer necessary for the final 4 teams as the two remaining teams in each section play each other over 2 legs - home and away. The first team to play at home is decided via a secret draw at The Football League Headquarters.

The Final
The Final takes place between the winner of the Northern section and the winner of the Southern section at Wembley Stadium during March / April.

Round 1 – w/c 3rd September '12
Round 2 – w/c 8th October '12
Area Q/F – w/c 3rd December '12
Area S/F – w/c 7th January '13
Area Final 1 – w/c 4th February '13
Area Final 2 – w/c 25th February '13
Final – 7th April '13

Depends on the direction of travel really! Cov could also be described as the beginning of Southern England, Eastern England or Western England!

Lets face it the only really tough game is Sheff Utd away so bring on anyone at home. Although i do not see a value in the cup, it would be a huge boost to the team to go through to the later stages particuarly wembley.

You tell me to chill out then insult us northerners again. Would it make you feel better if I kept insulting southerners?

I stand up for northerners, just the same as people from Cov. I am proud to live up north. I am proud to come from Cov. Try getting out more. You will see we are not flat cap idiotic monkeys. It is good to hear southerners don't have silly accents like some might say in places like Somerset and nobody down south has a beer belly. It is so good to hear they are so perfect.

As apposed to being a sloppy southern team?

While im midlands through and through i'd rather be grouped in with the Northeners lol

They might be grumpy gits but always a laugh (i have a fair amount of Northern friends...always a pleasure to hang out with!)

Saying that i have a fair amount of southerners for friends but that doesn't change anything lol

Did you write this just to tell everyone how many friends you have?!
