Just at work thinking about how good a day out to Wembley would be regardless of the competition. I then remembered the last time we got to that stage and the humiliating 0-3 home defeat to Crewe in front of a sold out Ricoh.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21241386 - Just looking at the squad from the game, Connor Thomas is the only player left in the entire squad still remaining at the club and it was less than 2 years ago... Crazy!

I think it will exactly the same in another two seasons. Player turnover is absolutely ridiculous. I have no idea what this 'long term' plan is when we haven't had a settled team...or formation for that matter. SP is certainly the longest serving manager for a while, still unsure as to whether that's a good or a bad thing. I'm changing my mind after ever result at the moment!!

I'll be all over this if we get to the final. Not been to one other cup match this season.

Bandwagon.

Great post.

Exactly my thoughts. Invest in the acadamy shit they spout. Yeah get rid of the bad ones and sell the good ones and pocket the money. Wilson is the perfect example. No long term plan at all. Just the usual rhetoric.

player turn over is ridiculous, but selling wilson was the right choice, the offer we received is a good offer for a league 1 player who at that point had only had 1 good season.

but we should of worked harder to keep Moussa, Baker, Christie (but he started playing like he wanted out)

Doubt we'd get a sell out if we made it to the area final after last time.

Fleck and Barton were here too.

As was Willis, Clarke and Daniels that all featured that season.

Course we would.

People said the same before the last one. And before Gillingham.

The people of Cov love coming out for a one-off game.

I got all excited last year, went to all the home games in the JPT. Gutted when we lost at home to Crewe, especially as we had played them off the park for most of the match. Lets hope we keep sneaking through without too much fuss. I can honestly say a trip to Wembley would convert the season from one to forget to one to celebrate !

Think we would, especially if the second leg were at home. Game would probably be televised this time around though, but as long as the club announce ticket stubs guarantee a Wembley ticket they'll be a full house.

Hope you're right! 45000 sky blue fans at Wembley is just what the club needs to get some positivity back

I think they should restrict Wembley tickets to those who went last night. Give them all 5 tickets each. ointlaugh:

The fact that just 4 months after we sold him he's worth at least double, probably treble the price we got for him, should tell you it was a shockingly crap piece of business for us.

Hes worth double because he has proven he can do it in the Championship, something he wouldn't have been able to do if he'd had stayed here. Nobody would have paid double or treble of what we got if he was stuck banging them in against L1 defenses.

You're right of course but you miss the point. He's scoring for fun in the Championship because four months ago he was at least a Championship level player. He was already that good. He hasn't improved 2 or 3 fold in four months. Bournemouth, Norwich and others could see that. Coventry couldn't.

It was shit- 7000 again but not bad for the JPT and the fans were terrific.why do you want to know? Did you think you wouldn't be able to get a ticket?
I'm sure there are plenty available for Saturday . A far more important game.

Baloney. If that was the case far more clubs than those two would have been bidding for him.

They weren't.

Works both ways. Club did well in selling bigiamara as he is now in the same price bracket as the likes of Swanson - namely he has no price.

Season ticket holders will always have preference and rightly so as they are the lifeblood of all clubs at this level.

This time the club should charge full price if they get to the regional final - its clear cheap tickets and freebies have no effect - so just reward real fans who go regardless .

Thats right, you'd hope they realise after Crewe and Gillingham they got the pricing wrong, and the Gillingham pricing caused the club all sorts of problems with queuing and on line hassle.

Oh so your pissed up estimate was more accurate that the actual attendance figure?

No one in the telegraph and a couple of hundred in the exec stand. But it's all a tax dodge isn't it???

The corner was very populated, but the tesco stand wasn't anywhere near full I'm afraid.

Works out so much cheaper.

Would have been great though if the club could have set up some Direct Debit scheme.

Agreed . No credit licence for a company turning over millions is fucking embarrassing and self harming.
