I'd say it's safe to assume that's where Bidwell will play on Saturday with Panzo out

After Panzo's recent performances I wouldn't be too averse to that. Does at least give us the option if needed.

Can Panzo be sent back?

Maybe we are swapping whatever we pay for Panzo to pay for Wilson-‘Edband.

Citeh friends of mine say he’s a good player, quick and very technical. I think we’ll see quite a bit of him, which makes me wonder what the plan is for Bidwell and our formation.

didn't he just try that?

Might give rose and Panzo a bit of cover since we won’t have bidwell and dabo struggling to keep up with wingers, we shall see he looks a talent but so do a lot of players who flop.

He’s been a mainstay in the fifth best defence in the league. A couple of of bad games and it’s time to get rid. Never change city fans.

Really? he has had a couple of wobbly games give him a break. Our defence has been pretty good so far this season they are currently missing a leader but to write Panzo off after a few bad games is massivly reactionary

That's both wings sorted if they can hit ground running.

Still have to find buyers for our of favour players though

Not the end of the world, in particular a massive shame if it ends like this for Dabo - He was absolutely unplayable in his first two seasons but has just regressed so much
Was thinking about this earlier, it was only towards the end of last season that Dabo had that excellent game against Forest and then played at Fulham in that great win before getting injured again in the game at Birmingham. Such a shame really as on his day he's more than competent at this level imo.

I don't think that even we have sunk so low as needing to sell our own players to fund nippers on half season loans. if we have then we're finished anyway...

The Nippers are probably getting paid at least double our highest earners, that's the thing.

He was immense in that game at Forest. Had Spence in his back pocket while playing on the left side for most of the game.

I’ve heard that he has a mechanical issue (his hip alignment and knee joints ) that is causing recurrent injuries but tbh I don’t know if this is actually true or just something that people around me assert (which is I suppose what I’ve just done too).

Think it's just SISU trying to make the squad looks bigger than it really is with all these double-barrelled player names. It looks like we have a full bench right there: Brooke Norton-Cuffy Josh Wilson-Esbrand

I said on another thread I would not be surprised if he needs an op.
If it is the case hopefully he can get it done now we've got cover.

Some signing this if it happens

However

I'm stumped as to why we aren't prioritising CB?

I loved the three yard pass, which somehow he managed to bobble, takes some doing that, remarkable teckers.

Who says we aren’t?

We can sign a left back and prioritise centre back. The two aren’t mutually exclusive.

This does at least give us the option of Bidwell at LCB in the short term, where he did pretty well last season.

People talking about these loans being replacements and yet we have no squad depth? Dabo won't be leaving in this window despite how poor he's been. Who's going to want him? What happens if the loan is recalled/injured?

Pretty sure recall clauses can only be inserted in full season loans and are only able to be activated during the January window. Also, why make any signing at all if the mentality is: what happens if they get injured?

The two wing backs were needed. Not sure how the club is planning on financing it but hopefully another CB and a CAM is to come as well. The significant worry is if Gyokeres goes (I'm assuming he will) and who his replacement will be.

Could potentially be a very long second half of the season if Robins and his team get it wrong.
