Just posted it on the other thread, yeah he's quite reliable. Another centre half adding fuel to the Willis gone fire.

Dom Hyam was too. We have zillions of centre backs now.

Hyam seems to have indirectly replaced him as the Dagenham loanee centre half for that season.

But no, no clue. We'll see if he's a Hyam, or a Neil Wood soon enough.

Was very highly rated at one point, with Arsenal trying to get him as a kid. Was hampered by some injuries that stopped his development after those loans.

Have a fair few CBs now including Rose.

I guess with Willis / Davies going we now have extra cover before we even get to Williams etc.

We could send players like Williams out on loan.

When he joined Gillingham on loan a couple of seasons back he described himself as a centre back who can also playing holding midfield. Ought to be comfortable on the ball in that case.

I think we are signing more as the likes of Thompson and Drysdale maybe not as far along or as talented as MR hoped they would be. Willis must be nailed on to leave now, which is a shame as his pace and reading of the game saved us many goals last season.

I've not read anything that suggests he can/or ever has played at RB? He can either play at CDM or CB according to his West Ham profile.

We've got more competition at U23 CB than the 1st team!

Don't think we really needed another CB - that's 7 now (8 if you include Willis). Hopefully he'll be another Hyam, but I think the budget needed using for other positions first.

I get the impression Thompson will be disappearing rather soon. After a couple of appearances last year he didn’t seem to trouble the squad again, even seeing Williams coming in for a game.

Willis is as good as gone and I can see Thompson probably being loaned out. That leaves 4 senior CB's and 2 development CB's. Think that's about right to be honest.

Yeah, 7 is too many. Maybe Thompson WILL go out loan as has been suggested.

I watch a lot of football but can’t say I know anything about Pask. Amazed how many fans reacted so positively immediately after the announcement ....

Wrestling players is one thing - as others have said, can be coached out of him. Handballs are random as a defender - tends just to be luck / bad luck. If he keeps doing it we can use him as a back up keeper!

I've seen him play quite a few times
A very good player
He started off as a goal scoring centre forward in youth football before West Ham converted him to a CB
He's got decent pace and is a calm, footballing CB not unlike Hyam
Pask had a serious medical problem shortly after joining Daggers (appendicitis?) which kept him out for several months and I believe Hyam was brought in to replace him
When I saw that Pask had been released by West Ham I thought he would be a possibility for us
He might be able to play in front of the defence like Declan Rice does
