Hungover as I would be given his in betweeness and club situation, give him a break he is a human after all so why not take advantage.

Perhaps he has a bad cold or flu and they just don't want him infecting the squad?

I get Maguire-Drew may be unfit (in that case, why are we signing him if he’s not even fit enough to make the bench) but why is Barrett?

He played a 23s game for Reading on the 18th of December and we signed him on the 21st but never joined until the 2nd of January. It’s now been a month, is it more of a case his fitness levels are poor and he struggles to get around the pitch rather than not being ‘match fit’?

I've not been impressed with what I've seen of him so far. He's not a left winger.

Maybe its just an adjustment period but sadly we don't have the luxury of waiting for him to get up to speed

We have a habit of bringing players to this club who are not fit.

He looks slightly overweight and out of match practice. Deffo has some talent, but as for a winger, I don’t see it. He dithered at MK for me last week too.

Well yep, not quite match fit by the sounds of it.

Don't think we can truly judge him until he finds his match sharpness.

Nobody had mentioned the two gaffs from Burge yesterday or am I being harsh?

They did-look at the match ratings. He had the jitters again in the first half.

Yes-I noticed that. Looks like he could do with losing a stone. (Couldn’t we all!)

we look better with Maguire-Drew and Shipley as they track back i think they need to come back in. Barrett looks good but needs to get match fit and lose a few pounds not as fit as the others!!

Can't mention them because of 'can't believe people are picking on Burge again, it's getting ridiculous ' chastisements.

We could definitely do with a new keeper, but that's not going to happen, so we're stuck with him.

His kicking and catching was decent yesterday, looked comfortable apart from the two blips.

Thought Barrett looked fat, showed some nice touches to get out of tight spots. Obviously had talent but I don't think having him on the left helps him. Needs to be dropped for Shipley.

Barrett was terrible yesterday, the worst player on the pitch. 2 out of 10 is far too generous.

I think he will come good. He has lots of talent but has to adjust to men’s football. The real question is do we have time to nurture this development?

I still don't get how a pro sportsperson could put so much timber on unless he just ate shite when he was out ill?

Give me even 700 a week as a reserve footballer and I'd be absolutely shredded from being in the gym and training all day every day and being paid for it.

Why are we judging players who’s appearances we can’t even count on one hand?

Plenty of time left for them to grow into their roles.

Swansea sacked their manager, so he wanted to go back to try and prove himself to the new manager which was reasonable enough. But on here people were saying he found his first days training too tough, hilarious.
