very modest chap after that peformance

8 different prem league clubs watching him tonight, and on that peformance he could make it

Having said that, Morell and Simpson and even McDOnald scored at a lower level

Dont think Morrell / Simpson ever got so many hat tricks + in such short amount of space!

Isnt he only 20 or something like that aswell?

What we'd give to have someone like that on our books!!

I think West Ham have already been rebuffed, he seems destined for at least a go at the big time.

I think we should sign him, has scored more goals by himself than the whole of our squad!

thing is, you listen to Lee Clark and when asked if he was worried that 8 prem league scouts were there tonight he said "no, i hope there are many more next week, bring them on, Jordan is going absolutely nowhere"

as opposed to our "Juke may go in Jan"

now, I am not saying they are equal players, but if i was looking for a bargain, AT might as well wear and sandwich board saying "Players For Sale"

VERY interesting comment from Beagrie after the game...

"Rhodes is probabily in the 3 million pounds bracket now, but why would you take that sort of money when he is so important to your team"

Well Peter, we will happily accept less than half of that for our only real striker !

He's scored 3 or more in a match 5 times this season now, incredible.

Haha more than likely I would love to have that sort of player at club where he is scoring at free will and you can openly turn down offers! I bet Ipswich are kicking themselves now for selling him, I just hope for their sake that they have a selling on fee as this kid looks like a real prospect and could be worth a bit if he carries on with his current form..

Have a look at his goal stats from the past couple of seasons! Incredible!

Him and lee novak up front are a class partnership and if they get come up I can see them terrorising the championship as well! Even Novak isn't doing too badly either 6 goals in 11 games

No wonder Robbie Simpson has been loaned out when you have these two in front of you!

If I were to make it to the protest then I would take my old 3310 and grab it from the bottom of the dusty draw! Unfortunately I will still be using this tomorrow as I have work from half 8 till 5 tomorrow, otherwise I would be up there
Good luck guys with the protest! Will be listening out to see what they say on the radio!

Lee Novak: was playing for Gateshead in BSN a few seasons ago, and they'd only just signed him that season from a much lower league side. Another non-league rags-to-glory story-and one hell of a prospect.

as opposed to a "riches to rag" story that we like to promote, with Eastwood about to go the same way as Thornton

Shame we didnt get Lee Clark as manager as he may have been able to coax him to come to us before he became the top quality player hes proving to be.

Wasn't it Roy Keane that let him leave Ipswich for next to nothing a couple of years ago, I always enjoy Keane making a mug of himself :claping hands:

ha ha ha at Roy Keane,

was never good in the transfer market,

I remember once he bought some muppet over from Ireland, something O'Donovan I think he was called

There are gems in the lower leagues and a lot are rejects from elsewhere or late developers. Just need to unearth them and that's why clubs like us need to have a bit of dosh to be able to pay £200/250k here and there. Something we done for years when we were in the top flight, many turned out to be our top players.

There's also definitely an element of luck when buying non league players too....whatever happened to that winger we wanted that Birmingham signed a couple of years ago?

If he goes to another club ... a Ricky Lambert

If he comes here .... a Robbie Simpson.

Here we would turn Lionel Messi into Lionel Blair.
