Only played 7 games for Swindon? Wonder what we’ve seen in him that they didn’t.

Correct.

The U23s have a lot of CMs now. Young, Eccles, Burroughs, Ngandu, Maycock, Bartlett...Bosma.

Ahh suddenly the links to Jordan Clarke make a lot more sense.

This seems to me a complete over reaction to the Bolton result.

Can’t be certain, but after Tim visited the Bolton dressing room, I suspect he insisted that as Bolton were getting all the praise with their young team, MR also had to sign “someone young”

I think he’s been injured a lot over the last two years, was fairly highly rated before that and (I think) is an attacking central midfielder. Worth a punt for a year I suppose; I much prefer this punt than Bosma

Nothing against this signing in particular but if one added up the wages of the players we have added to the u23 group it could equate to a couple of impactful first team signings. I get the talent pipeline approach but we need a few of these players to make an impact or it's nothing more than speculation to accumulate....a competitive u23 squad.

Would help to explain why we haven’t had any loans. No sense loading up on youth players and blocking off their path to the first team.

He looks very smug in that photo. I reckon he thinks he’s captain material. WELL HE ISN’T.

Snap his pen and get rid.

We do have at least 3 in the line who seem almost ready, Eccles Ngandu and Bapaga plus Westbrooke. None of them is a right back however

Think the jury is out. You speak as if you know the likes of Morgan Williams, Declan Drysdale, Alassi are destined for first team football at CCFC. I would remain far more cautious and I think the one year contract speaks volumes.

Sam Mcallum looks the best prospect but again a long way to go. He has 2/3 years to develop and train on. Where as for a 20yo it needs to happen far sooner.

The above Messi was 20 once comment is ridiculous. It's not about age it's about the ability to perform at first team level now or at 20yo very soon!
That said hope your right and we have signed the next Messi....

But Don Rogers did making his debute at 16. A very decent goal scorer old Division 2 and 3 (so Championship and League 1).

Lets face it Kevin Keegan didnt impress at Coventry but it didnt stop him being a success at Liverpool.

Subtle as an offended little toddler throwing his toys out the pram after being told off. Those who don't get what I am saying here please see my post the other day and Hill83's comments. Please Grow up Hill if you were indeed born in 83, which I doubt more each time I read your intellectually lightweight comments. While I get this forum should and can be light hearted fun, i am yet to read anything from you that suggests you are anything other that the sort of adult who laughs just that little bit too long at fart jokes.

I'm guessing what you'd like is for him to have a rage because we've signed a development player?

No. It's the passive aggressive continuation of a thred from a few days ago I objected to.

Please continue calling me intellectually inferior. Which could quite easily be considered actually aggressive and I’ll keep posting light hearted digs.

No wish on my part to continue this tone. For the record lightweight and inferior have different meanings. I have far more respect for adults who make direct challenges to comments rather than have sly little digs and then try to pass them off as light hearted.

I think you think you know more than you actually do and I think you think you are a lot more clever than you actually are. Actually, I’m starting to doubt you were born in 1234.

But yeah we can leave it there. Next time I think you are posting nonsense I’ll just say.
