We are delighted to welcome exciting talent Jordon Thompson to the club on a one month youth loan deal from Coventry City. Thompson was part of the successful Coventry Under-18’s side last season, and was named in the Sky Blues’ squad for the first time in the final game of the 2016/17 campaign against Scunthorpe. He has been tipped as a player who could make the breakthrough into their first team squad this season and we are glad to be able to provide him with the opportunity to gain first team experience in the National League.
He doesn't turn 19 until April. Very good defender IMO. Few will have seen him in pre-season, this loan will help him a lot as he's away from home for a while and mixing it against the type of strikers you'll find in League 2

Couldn't agree more with you @SlowerThanPlatt, Thompson is a very good defender and also very comfortable with the ball at his feet, a similar defender to Jordan Willis in terms of his athleticism.
With experience Thompson and Ford will be very good centre backs for this Club, both part of the very succesful U18's side last season which IMO is one of the best U18's sides the academy has produced.
He's played every game for them so far including games against Hartlepool and Leyton Orient
Centre half is arguably the hardest position break into the first team as well as a young player. All positive signs, only 18 and playing regularly in the league below
