Non league may have been the only option, as he’s been on the books of 2 league clubs in the same season, and I think that’s the maximum allowed, (although I maybe wrong)
Either way, it should guarantee him some game time, but the risks are high, if he doesn’t score his career will be in free fall, if he doesn’t get a start, or gets injured, he will drop off the radar altogether. And if he scores shit loads of goals, then who cares anyway, it’s expected of him at that level.
I wish him well, he needs an opportunity, I hope it works out for him.

He’s never scored consistently at any level, no chance any league two side was going to risk it. This is last chance saloon for him really

If there's one thing he definitely has done it's score consistently progressing through the ranks. His deficiencies are more in his all-round game.

I'd hope at that level he'll be playing regularly and bagging himself a few goals. Fact its men's football so a progression on his development thus far. Can't help think that even if he went there and bagged himself loads of goals MR will still overlook him for next season - just seems to have made up his mind about him and nothing he could do will change it.

If Ponti is fat then hell I'd love to be fat! He has won the bleep test the last 2 seasons so I can't see that is an issue! He's got muscle but no fat!

I live in Torquay and go to a lot of home games. There’s a lot of goals scored in this league and Wrexham are on the up at present. I think this is a perfect move for him but if he doesn’t score at this level then times up.
He’s been given a life line here.

Not sure Wrexham are on the up. They've been struggling just above relegation in Nat.League(Conference) and my family up there moaning they might get relegated to National League North! Pressure on Ponticelli as Wrexham a big club for that level.

Results wise they are win 1 lose 1 last few games so yes, for a relegation team on the up.

Best thing we could do for him (and us) now is to get him a permanent transfer to a non-league side. Let him go for free/nominal fee but attach a sizeable sell on clause on the off chance he does come good at some point.

With four add minutes on the board, the locals did everything they could give themselves a chance pouring men forward.

Although Ponticelli had a great chance to record his first goal in a red shirt when he latched onto a Lainton clearance, but his lob over Belshaw bounced just the wrong side of a post!

In the end it didn’t matter though, as Wrexham heard the final whistle signal a tremendous three points at one of the division’s form teams.

Harrogate Town: Belshaw, Falkingham, Burrell, Emmett (Harratt 71), Bradley, Stead, Kerry, Muldoon (Kiernan 78), Hall, W Smith, Diamond.
Subs: Thomson, Cracknell, Gallacher.

Wrexham: Lainton, Carrington, Kennedy, Pearson, Lawlor, Jennings, Rutherford, Summerfield, Young, Jarvis (Keillor-Dunn 68), Hooper (Ponticelli 86).
Subs: Dibble, Cleworth, Redmond.

Referee: Elliott Swallow (Lancs)
Attendance: 2,415
Away: 619

Impressive Wrexham away following at that level.
