He scored yet again in the game against Kettering yesterday, and he is free-scoring at the moment for the under 18's/academy. So does anyone else think he should be called up to the first team? Personally I would like to see how he would cope at first team level, or is it too soon?

He's 17 isn't he?
He is the youngest player to play in a sky blues shirt at 16 and 60 days (correct me if I'm wrong?).
When I have seen him for the U18 he has looked a class act!
But we shouldn't rush him just yet.

Anyone here remember a player called Cody McDonald? He was prolific last season a division lower than we are. A bit higher than U18's

At this level he has scored five goals in 43 games. Gillingham were 2 divisions lower than us.

I remember him appearing in that fixture away at Morecambe last season, so you could well be right-though is Ben Mackey not the youngest?

Seems a bit small for Championship football me thinks.

Get him on the bench and give him 10 mins to scare the defenders to death...

Him and Nimely running at them must surely give them something to think about !

For those that play FIFA 12, Clarke harris is the only player in the whole team with a trait (acrobat), shouldn't be too long till he starts making the bench

I put a thread not too long ago asking the same question, and personally i would like to see him on the bench give him a few ten minutes here and there. Some people say if you can score goals you can score goals at any level, and a few players have proved that theory right, however there are a couple who don't, unfortunately Mcdonald is in that category atm?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55AIqNAJ7p0 Highlights of Cov Acadmey's 3-2 win against Chelsea. JCH scores twice and won the penalty. He plays on the shoulder mostly so ccfcway, don't expect him running at defenders.

Reminds me a bit of Connor Wickham; tall, strong & very quick.

The disallowed (unfairly) goal at the start was class. Looks promising. Don't need to rush him. Lot of pressure on our games at the moment and that could ruin him.

very interesting

now I know its only 3 min, but he does look a player, he had one disallowed as well.

Funny to see defensive errors lead to their 2 goals, one of which was scored by Philipp Prosenik, who has recently moved to AC Milan !!!

Also quite bizarre to see us being 1-2 down and win the game 3-2 ;)

Remember Gerard Piqué playing against us at Old Trafford?? Mifsud ran rings around him yet he's back at Barca now!

I generally think he would struggle in the prem, I remember watching him for spain against scotland and he got tore apart by Craig mackail-smith, pique has to be one of the slowest players in spanish history!
