This may be a game where 0-0 isnt too bad a result
so happy to shut up shop / park the bus and anything extra is a bonus
Play Stokes and Haynes. If Stokes isn't ready for the game, Shipley and Haynes.
But I don't think Haynes is a very good fullback.I doubt it would be good for team morale if we don't score which would mean a whole calendar month, 5 league games, without a single goal.
I am always against the assumption that just because a full back is good at getting forward and overlapping, that the full back would be a decent winger. I remember experiments with Hussey, Christie and Jordan Clarke and it never worked. That's because they're there as an extra option as overlapping full back but don't have the game sense to do the full role. And why would they, they're defenders!
That seems to be standard these days until they get them in for a scan / x-ray so hopefully just a precaution.Apparently Jones was seen on crutches leaving the ground on Saturday.
I thought I was alone with this sentimentBut I don't think Haynes is a very good fullback.

May be better than team morale than if we lost 7-2
We will need to play more than just those two, unless we're settling for a 0-0Play Stokes and Haynes. If Stokes isn't ready for the game, Shipley and Haynes.
Ah the man with the fine album cover as his avatarDo you not know Grendel?
I am normally a fan of the theory of changing one thing at a time, so you can see which changes make the difference. On the basis that K Thomas and Ponticelli both did well yesterday, I would have one of them as the front man.Play the goalscorers who scored for under21s.
Things like this "injury" really piss me off about football. The lad gets a little knock, sits on the floor in agony till the hottie comes over, literally does nothing and tells him he can stand up. He then proceeds to limp around because he's got a little bit of a dead leg.
When will footballers man up? Next thing JJ will be saying Sturridge is his hero, along with Wilshere.
Have you tried walking or running with a dead leg without limping?Things like this "injury" really piss me off about football. Yes I have, you're right it's nothing more than a limp. Certainly no reason to leave a football match. It's an impact injury, it'll be ok in time. It might even bruise, but that's the game.Have you tried walking or running with a dead leg without limping?
standing on one leg, he has passed the fitness test.
Spot on. I think what compounded his injury was a bit of mud to the pony tail.Yes I have, you're right it's nothing more than a limp. Certainly no reason to leave a football match. It's an impact injury, it'll be ok in time. It might even bruise, but that's the game.
It was so bad that he's standing on one leg (the injured leg) just two/three days later.
I have noticed the pony tail can affect his game. he regularly has to adjust the tail position. needs a good short back and sides imo.Spot on. I think what compounded his injury was a bit of mud to the pony tail.
Every single one of the USA women's national team has a pony-tail and they've won the women's World Cup several times.I have noticed the pony tail can affect his game. he regularly has to adjust the tail position. needs a good short back and sides imo.
interesting fact but that's ladies football. Jones could probably easily fit into that ladies team if it was hair based. I used to play with a pony tail in my hair back in the day, a good strong band and Jones would not have to fanny around with his hair until half-time. thanks for the info.Every single one of the USA women's national team has a pony-tail and they've won the women's World Cup several times.
If Brian Clough had been with them they would have been told to get their hands out of their pockets
