I wonder how Luton Town (docked 30 points in similar circumstances) feel about your 10 point deduction. The rules now clearly state that if a club goes into liquidation the penalty should be 15 points, not 10. Another example of the football league's clear bias toward the bigger clubs.

I think its more to do with the fact that Luton Town's owners didn't have the money to sue the Football League.

We haven't gone into liquidation yet? The 10 points were for being in administration at the start of the season.

Charlton Athletic Fan.

Please do keep up 10 points last season. 10 points this season = 20 points.

Where did you go to school Leicester?

I couldn't agree more. The bigger picture here is that we need other fans to realise what the law and football league regulations have allowed to happen to the club.

We may have benefited from only receiving a ten point deduction, which could well be down to the board using their discretion, but its the boards discretion that has allowed SISU to relocate us to play 'home' games in Northampton.

So the OP makes a valid point and some posters start having a go. Great. That will help galvanise support for any campaign.

Anyway, I'm guessing it is only 10 as we haven't officially gone into liquidation yet. It could also be due to the fact that our owners were the ones that lost the most money, at least on paper rather than other football creditors and HMRC. It's also likely that our owners threatened extensive and expensive legal action against the football league so that the punishment was less harsh than other cases.

If the op is from Charlton, wasn't waggot and Fisher part of your set up a couple of years ago. Is Fisher as warmly remembered there as he is here?

Seems like he is a Crewe Alexandra fan as he refers to us as a bigger club.
He obviously suffers from 'small man syndrome' as Crewe Alexandra are unlikely to ever rise above the level they currently stand.
More to the point what sort of football fan would support a team named with a girls name.

luton had financial irregularities by making under the counter payments to players and that is why they were docked 30 points

No, 10 points for going into admin - last season - and 10 points for not coming out of admin via the CVA. It followed that a liquidator then had to be appointed and therefore CCFC Ltd is in liquidation.

No it's not. It's in administration until Appleton releases his report and liquidation can start AFAIK. regardless CCFC Ltd isn't the club so what happens to them is irrelevant. Otium is the club now.

Statement issued by the club immediately after the 10 point deduction.

"CCFC Ltd [the company that entered administration] will be put into liquidation after ACL failed to accept the Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) put forward by the administrator.

It is apparent that the process of liquidation has commenced that will inevitably lead to CCFC Ltd being liquidated or do you wish to split the hair even further!?

Not sure what is worse the fact you have not understood where we are in the process or that you believe club statements

Charlton Athletic featured in the ITV one-off drama Albert's Memorial, shown on 12 September 2010 and starring David Jasonand David Warner.[SUP][48][/SUP] Jason's character, Harry, is revealed to be a Charlton Athletic fan. Harry later buries his friend, Albert, played by Michael Jayston, draped in a Charlton Athletic flag, to which Frank says, "hear that?". Harry replies,"no...what?" Frank says, "that's the sound of Albert turning in his grave. He hated Charlton Athletic", so Harry replies, "well, nobody's perfect."

Perhaps she is trying to catch up with Joy Seppala's business schedule?
