What are players supposed to do now... the FA need to change the rule or ban tackling all together as the refs seem to have very different opinions of what this rule is.... And if they ban this we might aswell stop playing the game....
I actually think Johnsons was worse than Kompanys. He had both feet together, in the air, studs showing, going straight at the player. Kompany came from slightly side on and feet were apart. They both got the ball though and cleanly. Neither opposing player complained. But there has to be consistency, it's just a shame you can't seem to slide tackle anymore. I heard the other day one team are teaching their players not to slide tackle - for shame
Didn't see it, but if it was two footed, then he should have gone.
You raise your studs, or go in with two.. its a red card, simple as... Players know this yet still do it.
