Good, he is an utter prick, and deserves what he gets.

In many ways he incapsulates a lot of what is bad about modern football.

That's him in the shite then if found guilty. FA threw the book at Suarez without real proof other than one mans account about another so Terry will have no chance. Don't like John Terry never have and have always had the feeling football saved him from a very different lifestyle but i do thing this is a sledgehammer to crack a nut

One thing that does annoy me. If a fan was found guilty of Racist language then they’ll automatically get a 3 year banning order.

Wonder if Terry would get banned from all grounds in the country??

I don't know about that, Terry is just the sort of person I would suspect of having those kind of views.

I understand what your saying, and your right, but banning him for 3 year would effect his ability to do his job and there normally more understanding in that respect.

I think he should be "sent to Coventry" to play for 3 seasons... that would be fitting

If he's found guilty Matt then expect a much bigger ban. They'll make an example of him

Your on mate... they will make an example of him mate. The FA will show FIFA (Blatter) they mean business on the racism front.

Suarez got an 8 match ban and that was just between him and evra. With the CPS involved must mean other players have came forward

Pardon my ignorance in this, but I don't quite get how this has gotten as far as it has.

Don't get me wrong, any person allegedly giving someone any sort of abuse they deserve to be punished. What I don't get is why the police are getting involved. The amount of foul abuse and behaviour in football is shocking, and I don't just mean the players! Where was all of this when Keys and Gray where given the boot for sexist remarks? Or the Suarez case for example? I don't remember the police getting involved then, but they do for this? It also reflects bad for the FA/Fifa. They stop anyone from going to the courts (They have just told the swedish league they'll kick them out of FIFA if they don't ignore the courts and follow FIFA's ruling) when they are in trouble, but refuse to have a say when it's the other way around.

This sport really is poorly ran.

I don't condone racism, but the Terry / Suarez saga is all abut OTT. Wayne Rooney did something spare of the moment; the FA help him (and pay all his costs) to support him getting his ban reduced. Terry / Suarez make comments in the spare of the moment and get a ban which is extremely OTT IMO. Had they referred to someone as, let's say (hyperthetically as I'm not against gingers either ) a Ginger tosser, Ginger nut, or something alike, would they have got such a lengthy ban?? Or maybe made an abusive reference, like That Italian allegedly did prompting Zidanes world cup reaction, would that go unnoticed (again??). Yes I know it's all ifs and buts but surely there has to be a bit of consistency. Will be interesting to see if Terry gets the same ban as Suarez!!

The whole thing is completely taken out of all proportion. What is it becoming? So Terry said something? So what? Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me? Grow up people and grow some balls. All part of the game of some players. No harm done. Anyone as sensitive as Ferdinand or Evra should go home and sulk like the babies they are for god sake.
To thin k the long arm of the law is getting involved is taking things to new ridiculous heights by a bunch of headline grabbing busy bodies.
5 minutes fame and headlines for everyone here....jeez it's the x factor, TOWIE culture gone mad.
When will people be left to stand on their own two feet and not expect this sense of entitlement ?

Terry happily takes his infalated salary to feed his inflated self-opinion - well this is the cost - you are in the public eye, and things that would be a slap on wrist for most people become a lot more.

Still given the way the FA works I suspect Ferdinand will be banned for provoking him by being a darker shade.

Lets all sing together said:
One thing that puzzles me -

The term "black" is widely accepted - Yes

You can buy a magazine called black beauty where black women have hair styles and fashion tips etc...

Politicians and the media can use the word aswell... so it's agreed in society that the word black is ok ???

Why when John Terry puts the word "c**t" after it does it become racist ?

Black footballer = Fine
Black c**t = Racist

If you can explain please do.....

Well one is describing a person the other is trying to be offensive because of that persons skin colour! Simple really!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1214946/El-Hadji-Diouf-racially-abused-ball-boy.html

I notice how this was quietly dropped with no further action taken. Terry hounded by the police and Suarez hounded by the F.A. And as has been mentioned, a few words spoken in the heat of the cannot be as bad as Rooney's violent acts which could cause somebody permanent physical harm if it's not brought a stop to?
