Oldham game made clear to me that Fleck is our most important attacking player. Someone who can cover his role is a must in Jan. Most teams are going to try and kill the game when they play us so his ability to move the ball quickly to the front four is key. Do folks know of anyone from the Academy that could do this job? For me, unless we find someone new (Academy or signing) JoB, Cole or Lamerias should start alongside Vincelot if we want to win games, especially at home.

Appreciate we missed Fleck on Saturday but what's wrong with Bigi?

I disagree. At Bradford he was comfortably the best player on the pitch, he didn't do badly on Saturday either.

I thought he had a very good 70 minutes on Saturday. Constantly creating angles to receive the ball, moving it quickly and trying killer passes. Gets stuck in too!

I thought he was probably our best player on Saturday. I get the impression from his return, no matter what he does some people won't be happy with him

Bigi was nt very good on Saturday, yes he ran around a lot but his passing was woeful. 9 seperste occassions he passed the ball to the opposition, thats not good is it !

Well if he made 100 passes then that statement would be redundant... a 91% pass completion is very good. I don't know if he made 100 passes or 50 but just because someone misplaced 9 passes (im guessing this a complete guess) it doesn't mean they had a bad game?

Not sure you were there skyblue57 he ran out of energy at 75 but before then was excellent. Would have liked him. Little further forward though

I think he was, I think he is the season ticket holder who sits behind me who moaned about everything Bigi done on Saturday.

I was amazed at the blokes comments. I appreciate football is all about opinions but I thought Bigi was one of the better players on saturday

I think Bigi is a good backup for Fleck, remember the lad hasn't played first team football for a long time. When he is up to speed and knows the way Mowbray wants him to play I think we have got a very good player for this level

Bigi was okay Saturday but he's nowhere near as effective or as good as Vincelot or Fleck.

And there is a strong rumour that Fleck is leaving in January and he will be signed as his replacement

Agreed Bigi was one of our better players but he can't replace Fleck.
I don't think it was fair to make him the main creator as he doesn't have the vision or range of passing as Fleck.
He was forced to pick the ball up too deep and find 30yard passes every time which he can't do.
The game was screaming out for Lameiras to come on and give us some width but TM didn't fancy it.
I think TM got it wrong on Saturday.
He didn't rate Oldham and rested players then when plan A didn't work he went with plan A again!!
Let's hope he has learned a lesson or everybody is going to park the bus against us and try and nick a goal.

No not a complete guess, must mean I was actually watching. If he d made a 100 passes and misplaced 9 I d agree with you, but he did nt. Its all about opinions I agree, but its also about end product and facts.

Hi Tom it could be me that sits behind you. I did moan about Bigi saturday, but if you heard that then you must agree with me about the misplaced passes then as I moaned about each one lol.
It is about opinions tho, he did make two good passes which I commented on also.

Bigi was ok on Saturday over 90 minutes a 6/10 performance. Yes he made himself available but was too deep too often, he just doesn't have flecks urgency, range of passing and didn't really set the tempo, he also rarely got in the opposition's half. Fleck will travel into space when things open up for him, Bigi would rather pass, fleck has also started getting onto second balls 20-25 yards out but Bigi was too deep.

Losing fleck would be a huge loss, and unfortunately Bigi wouldn't replace what we would lose of fleck does leave.

It would be a huge loss to lose fleck. It would be a very strange move.I could accept him leaving at the end of the season but not January. Bigi played far too deep to be effective when we were crying out to push up . Oldham showed no ambition and were there for the taking.

Yep, Bigi was a 6 out of 10. Not bad, not great. Did some stuff well, but a lot of his passing was wayward.

First I've heard of it, isn't he out of contract in the summer anyway?

In which case I find the rumour even more far-fetched. We'd get virtually nothing for him, particularly with the sell on clause to Rangers.

I'd rather he left for nothing in the summer.

I doubt there'd be a sell on clause as his original contract expired.

It seems plausible, even though it's a rumour. It'd be a massive blow if he does leave, the Fleck/Vincelot partnership has been like concrete.

Hate to say it, but I think if he does go and Bigi is his long-term replacement, Vincelot will have to carry him somewhat.

think you will find he signed a two year deal during the summer.

I agree totally with you on Bigi. Thought he was disappointing on Saturday. To many stray passes and not in Flecks
league. To defensive for me.

I thought Bigi was our best player for 65 minutes. He faded in the second half, but he is working his way back to match fitness. He's an asset!

He can graft and he loves the club, but I'd be surprised if TM sees Bigi as a like-for-like replacement for Fleck. The latter is more of a deep-lying playmaker, Bigi isn't.

True, he's an asset, just not a replacement for Fleck, imo.

Like a lot of others I thought Bigi had a good hour then tired. I think he is an asset to the squad but I hope fleck isn't leaving as for me he and Vincelot have formed a great understanding and complement each other. Fleck possibly player of season so far

Flecks and Vincelot the main two in our midfield. Bigi a good addition. For me the jury out on Cole.
As for Flecks leaving? Let's have a heated debate on speculation , or should that be Fleckulation?

Yes, a good bout of Fleckulating is required. I'll start.

Oh that's it, oh fuck, he's leaving and that's our season over. Hear me, OVER! I've had enough and I don't know why!

That a good start?
