Thought he was the real unsung hero today, useful defensively, great passing, and bombed forward continuously not to mention his pass for the goal was perfect.

worried he's becoming the team scapegoat though judging by some of the comments on here never being able to do right in some peoples books.

Everyone today was excellent. Vincelot and Fleck's work today allowed for the front four to do so well.

Both Vincelot and Fleck protected the back four superbly, allowing the front four to be so effective. He also got the assist for the second goal. Solid game.

Bombed forward consistently? Once, but a great cross for the goal.

He did play well today Tbf, as did every other player today, a real team performance.

He definitely went forward more than once. I actually thought he wasn't great in the first half... Gave the ball away a couple times. But second half he was very good.

He was very poor in the first half but performed well in the second half.

Was that in the second half? I can't remember him crossing the half way line in open play in the first half, in which he was pretty poor. Played well in the second.

We were playing 4-2-4, neither Fleck or Vincelot needed to go over the halfway line. If they had done, we would have been left exposed, rendering TM's game plan pointless.

Was much better today, couldn't have been any worse than he was V Oxford though! Glad to see him back getting involved!

Yes I know that, which is why I questioned the OP's assertion that he 'continuously bombed forward' - he didn't. He did play well though.

Sorry, meant when we were breaking forward from defending corners he was usually the one carrying the ball out

Fair enough, I though you meant in the attacking third. Like I said, I thought he played well today!

I think John fleck is a very good player.. All players last season had there confidence knocked out of them by pressley ! I think he will shine this year. His range of passing is brilliant.

Yeah. Why, haven't I mentioned it?!

I give him a lot of stick, I think he's played within himself for most of his time here, and hasn't deserved the hype some give him. I'm just showing that I'm always happy to give credit when people play well! He now needs to keep that second half performance level up for the next 10 games.

He was dire in the first half but had a good second half.

His workrate is good now compared to when he first came but he is never going to be the quality player some claim. If he plays as well as he did in the second half then he will have a good season

Fleck is a very good technician and when a team is going well, he seems to stand out which draws very good comments about his attributes.. My issue with him is when things are not going the teams way, i'm not saying he doesn't work hard, but his game is better suited with a high % of possession of the ball than without it,, he becomes very much a passenger when we are chasing it around..

As one of the better players in the squad we expect him to kick start us off when really he is waiting for a spark to join in,, good player, nice to watch but i would expect to his the first name mentioned when things don't go so well.. But also on the flip side one of the first to be mentioned when it does, he suits and fits a winning side..

Fleck second half was excellent and a close call for man of the match.
