if he hasn't been injured then the fact he couldn't get his fitness levels high enough to be picked for the first game of the season doesn't say a lot for him.

personally i'd play him whatever, as he's different class on the ball compared with what we've got.

I agree he is a decent potential but fitness is going to be key with him sadly.

He still looks a lot fitter than when we first signed him.

He was impressive today when he came on. Unlucky with that shot with the goalie just about following the movement.

Very good player and one of our best players. I wasn't aware of his fitness issues and if there are fitness issues why? He isn't injured. Seems shit really.

1 not fit, 1 not that good.

Thats our two central midfielders who we are relying on to get us into the top 6

Thought he offered us more than Thomas when he came on today. Then again, I think he offers us more than Thomas anytime! Probably offers us more than Thomas from the bench

Doesn't look unfit to me, but I'm no fitness expert (far from it )

I really don't rate Thomas. I've yet to see him have a good game for us. Hopefully he'll come good this season after all the potential we've been told he has.

He has no potential - its just another young player that plays for Coventry so must be good.

Well that is exactly what Fisher and co keep telling us after all who would want him we after all are one of the highest payers in this league, no one else could afford him?

SP said on CWR after the game that he is the most talented player in the squad but his fitness (presumably coming back after the break) is not up to standard. I got the impression he had a few too many ice creams on his summer holidays. I think he'll feature more as the season progresses.

Let's be honest, he has no competition at all in this squad and know's it, unfit or not he has the most talent and experience in his position,, J maddison will give him a run for his money soon. But today sadly proves Fleck's point and most who know this squad is no strong enough yet to compete week in week out knows he has to play for the side to have any creativity no matter his fitness...

I think Fleck is the type of build who will always struggle with fitness and weight.

The players train (and played friendlies I think) with heart monitors on, so that they can monitor performance and fitness.

To be left out his numbers must be pretty poor compared to others.

Sure i recall SP enthusing about his Fitness last season, coupled with bigging him up for International potential 6-8 weeks back.

No contract negotiation going on either ,I suspect a bit of Stick and Carrot.

It's really frustrating as we need him right now with the number size and quality of the midfield.

He's had a good start to the season, how vital is he to our chances this year? I'm guessing some championship clubs may be looking at him with not long left on his contract.

Yeah, needs to sign up, I believe SP is sorting this next. Some good things happening at CCFC at present. Return to the club, Management team sign deals, just need key players and a win Saturday for Top 6
