Where does everyone think Johns best position is? I keep hearing whispers in the crowd about him not being good enough for the bench let alone a starting position.

Personally i think he has a cracking left foot and would fit in behind Mcgoldrick. Cant really drop Moussa right now though hes in great form :thinking about:

He'd be best in Moussa's position but Moussa is in good form so it would be unfair to drop him. Expect him to come off the bench as he did today in the next few games though.

No, he'd be poor and predictable behind the striker. Sheffers should the types of runs that you have to make in that position, often running in behind the lone striker, fleck hasn't got the mobility to do that and like to drop in the hole all the time.

He looks like he has the potential to be a good player but IMO has done very little of late and does not seem athletic enough to become a top player.

Moussa was, the majority of the time, on LM, I don't think Fleck should play LM, but at AMC.

The majority of his assists are from set pieces....you can't play someone just because they take a good corner.

Beckham also provided a lot of assists from open play

Having a good set piece taker (let's face it Baker + McSheff are wank at corners) is important, I say, next game, slot him in behind McG, see how he gets on.

I wouldn't, Robins tried that early on i the first 2-3 games and it didn't work which is why he was shifted out wide left. He hasn't got the mobility to make those runs in behind DMc which are crucial when you're only playing 1 upfront, especially when that striker likes to drop deep. This is the same reason Barton can't play there either and why Robins swapped it round after 10 mins vs Morecombe......interestingly he also god shunted out wide left.

The formation we've been using as a whole wasn't working and we moved to 4-4-2 (because Ball played really well when he came on v Bournemouth) and there's no AMC in a 4-4-2, that's why.

We've slowly moved from 4-4-2 to 4-4-1-1/4-2-3-1, thankfully.

Keep the same team at the moment, I think Fleck can be a good player but no reason to change the team

Having said that he will most likely come in for the suspended Baker vs Doncaster

Or Barton, either way I'll be happy.

I think Moussa should go RM, McSheff LM and Fleck or Barton (had a couple of good assists/passes in his cameos) behind ROD/Cody, jokes, McGOALdrick

If it 'ent broke, don't fix it!

My point still stands that behind a lone striker in a 4231 /4411 fleck and Barton do not have it in them to consistently make the runs in beyond the striker like sheff did yesterday, which is critical to that position especially as DMcG likes to drop deep.

They haven't been given a string of games to be fair to them, Barton, has put in some great passes, and Fleck has been more influential than people give him credit for. I didn't even know he was our top assister in the league, and a fan of his (as you can tell).

Fleck and Barton have a LOT of potential, McSheff played well yesterday so, for the mean time, I'd keep him in.

Again 'if it 'entry broke, don't fix it!' Although we need to fix it for next game where Fleck or Barton could stake a claim to start regularly.

Could we move Cyrus forward into Bakers spot and bring Clark in ,leave the others where they've done so well ,less shuffling around from their familiar role?

If I was MR, I'd keep back 4 as it is, conceded barely any with this back 4, Clarke has been very disappointing this season.

Moussa RM, that could be an interesting partnership, McSheff on the Left, and Barton + Fleck at AMC, that'd be quite formidable IMO. (Baker in there is even more formidable)

Not you, is MR still relying on McG to win us games?
