Apparently we're down to a shortlist of four - Bryan Richardson, Mike McGinnity, Geoffrey Robinson and Ken Dulieu

Wasn't he the last of the best board of directors the club had ever seen (in his opinion in 2011/12)??

you know what puzzles me is the following from his leaving statement

"I leave in the hope that ACL will come up with a resolution that will give the club a platform to build a sustainable financial future and the supporters the success they deserve.”

you could take it a number of ways
1) that it is all ACL's fault (the company line)
2) that he doesnt believe SISU can solve this (he could well be right)
3) that he wants ACL to be running CCFC (surely he cant think this is likely)
4) that ACL should somehow gift CCFC the means .......... (thats strange because the stakeholder support ACL received is expected to be paid for)
5) that he expects some seriously bad news and is trying to get some positive PR for himself

make your own mind up or pick one of the above

Bottom line is that it is up to the owners and directors of CCFC to get a viable and successful future for club and fans ....... that is their duty as custodians of our club. That involves working with ACL, Council & charity, it includes earning not expecting the right to income, it involves take full responsibility for actions (including remedial ones) and acting in the best interests of the company. It isnt about blaming others or expecting valuable assets or income simply because it is the football team. It is right to negotiate that future with the partners on site to get it at fair value but there has to be quid pro quo, co-operation and commitment to the viable club not just lip service.

To me Mr Clarke cuts a pretty sorry picture.........

Always has done to me too, OSB. A token local businessman with no real clout on what is in effect a weak and powerless board. Powerless because we're controlled by a hedge fund working for unknown (to us mere supporters) owners. The words 'rat', 'sinking' and 'ship' come to mind.

To me OSB, Mr Clarke has been largely anonymous during his tenure as Deputy Chairman (whatever that role entails), other than to lend his considerable experience in the field of Public Relations to CCFC in their greatest hour of need.

Now that he's resigned, no doubt we can expect the Club's PR machine to disappear without trace, leading to strained relations with our landlords, local politicians, fans, charitable institutions, and just about everyone associated professionally with CCFC.

Oh, hang on a minute..............
