Acting Chairman John Clarke has left his post at CCFC.

Think this will change anything?

The question is what do Fisher and Seppala want to do now. Clarke has stuck with them through the lies, through Dulieu, through the rent fiasco, through Seppala pulling the strings, through the alleged insolvent trading: through all that. Why go now? what did Seppala want now?

OSB: Would Clarke have had any personal financial liabilities if it all went belly up?
If so, might that be why he has quit? or is that just ill informed nonsense/guess work on my part?

Yes, and for the two years before liquidation.
Brown trouser time perhaps.

With Fisher's scaremongering tactics last week, to me this is SISU attempting last minute manipulation to turn the supporters against ACL/The Council etc, while SISU are being squeezed out of the club, but with Clarke resigning i think it says a lot about who is in the wrong and who is winning the war.

Depends if creditors etc could prove he had acted outside his duties or negligently or fraudulently. His problem is that directors of a company would be held to be joint and severally liable for the decisions made ..... so he bears as much responsibility as TF in all this. I wouldnt like to be a director have all the responsibility but no real say and have to do as I was told which appears on the face of it to be the situation he was in.

Then of course there is perhaps the issue of shadow directors (people who control a business but are not directors) ..... making the decisions that could rebound on directors.

Of course we do not know that there are any decisions that leave any of the directors financially at risk

Just speculating, but after Fisher's words about insolvency last week maybe Clarke doesn't want to be part of the board that sees CCFC wound up. Alternatively, Fisher said there were important meetings today on the insolvency issue - Fisher has said the situation might depend on how long the lawyers give them and maybe that advice changed today to the point where Clarke no longer felt comfortable being part of the board. Or maybe I'm giving too much credence to Fisher's words.

This clearly isn't good and could be one of a few movements AGAIN! Obviously the last time with Ranson and the rest went we were promised a change but nothing major come out of it in respect to the club being ran better. Are we going to hear the same?

I am getting fed up with this crap now....

If I was in business I would get out before anything I'm involved in was liquidated.

So does that leave just three directors in Tim Fisher, Mark Labovitch, and Steve Waggot?

Or have I forgot someone?

This is clearly not good news to any CCFC supporter. A loyal fan (I don't give a shit as to his party loyalties) leaving the board with rumours of liquidation!

According to OSB on the original thread about the resignation:
directors CCFC = TF

Directors CCFC H = TF Clarke & Labovitch

SBS&L = TF & Labovitch

Perhaps he was expecting a big shove with golden handshake? But is shrewd...& is such a fan that he's decided to cut & run - & is as we speak touting his can of worms around the tabloids as I type?

If the club are entering insolvency he would not want that against him as he is a director of his own business.

Apparently we're down to a shortlist of four - Bryan Richardson, Mike McGinnity, Geoffrey Robinson and Ken Dulieu
