Was suggested to me earlier today that Clarke was left out of the loop in the selection of our new manager, could this be the reason he resigned ? Hasn't given up his associate director post so is still active at club.

The Associate Directors have nothing to do with the running of the club, it is an honorary title given to those supporters who invested in the club back in 2007.

Rob, in the interests of balance thought it only right to give credit where it is due. I'm no fan of the way the club has been run a lot of the time, but I don't go in for 'banter' about individuals at the club - 'banter' in my eyes is usually abuse from the safety of a keyboard. (Not suggesting you.) But John Clarke has come in for awful abuse from people who don't know a thing about him. The pie thing etc. I don't know him, but I do know he was the man responsible for that sponsorship money from City Link.

I know! It was a (misplaced) joke, no offence intended.

i think that was the end of iohn clarkes second spell as a director at ccfc ?
does anybody know if the first spell coincided with the appointment of monkey head as manager and the sacking of eric black? if so this could be an indicator of blacks return ,maybe.?
or this might just be the product of an over active imagination !

Doubt it to be honest, The football man is Waggot, backed up by Fisher, I dare say Clarke had very much to do at all but was a convenient fit for Sisu, as he was local, and willing to tow the party line
